Carter Bolin of Minnesota Select James (Woodbury, 2023). At 6’7 I really liked the skill level that Bolin played with around the paint. Very productive for this Select team that has won more games than I think many expected. Carter scored seven a game last year and based on what we saw this weekend, could really improve as a senior.
Joe Burgess of Minnesota Select James (Park Center, 2023). Burgess is 6’5, long, athletic in an explosive hips, lateral quicks, and getting up and down way. Has the length and agility to be an excellent defender and his offensive instincts this weekend that caught my eye. Nice prospect heading into his senior year with limited varsity time.
Dominic Fairbanks Dominic Fairbanks 5'10" | PG Cass Lake-Bena | 2024 State MN of Playmakers North (Cass Lake-Bena, 2024). The highlight of the weekend was Dom scoring five threes with two foul shots and a floater in the lane in 90 seconds taking a one score game and blowing up the game in a moment. Explosive sophomore guard that is playing up.
Luke Jacobson Luke Jacobson 6'1" | SG Cretin-Derham Hall | 2023 State MN of Northstar Titans (Andover, 2023). Said this last year and I will say it again this year with more confidence, Ben and Sammy are good and the way Luke is playing, he could make the group great. He’s always been a shooter but now Luke is also playing in a creating way.
Lorenzo Levy of Grassroots Sizzle (Concordia Academy, 2024). The quickness of Levy’s handles catches the eye quick as rare and special. Then you watch Lorenzo pass the basketball and you think that this could be a special player, and then you hear about all the explosive scoring games he’s had with Sizzle and at CA and you wonder how on earth I forget to make sure he was ranked as a top 50 player (minimal)?
Jack Manning Jack Manning 6'5" | C Thief River Falls | 2023 State MN of West Central United (Thief River Falls, 2023). I enjoyed watching Jack play against good bigs this weekend. He battled every contest, was able to score in the paint some pivoting around bigger players and using his strength other times, and has a better perimeter touch than expected.
Collin Mulholland of Minnesota Heat MacDonald (Holy Family, 2023). I’ve heard from two division schools asking about Collin. Why? He’s agile, turns his hips well, moves his feet well laterally and is quick off of them, and has a nice touch. At 6’10 with a comfort in touch and he moves well, a prospect that will land scholarships, and it will be interesting to see where from.
Joshua Ofori Joshua Ofori 6'7" | PF Prior Lake | 2023 State MN of Minnesota Heat MacDonald (Prior Lake, 2023). Ofori is stepping up and likely to step in at the right time at Prior Lake. This explosive, 6’6 strong forward has physical gifts that others don’t which I think could make him a great rebounder and a high percentage paint finisher.
Hudson Vaith Hudson Vaith 6'4" | SG Lakeville North | 2023 State MN of Minnesota Heat MacDonald (Lakeville North, 2023). Shooter? Yes, we all know that. But Hudson is doing a great job scoring with floaters and attacks off touched finishers or a spin move to complete. Also won a game with a late game clutch finish. Looks like we can call him scorer, not just shooter.
