The Prep Hoops Circuit takes a stop in Indianapolis this weekend and the Havoc In The Heartland was full of action in day two of the event. In this article I’ll break down the top 17 U guard performers I saw on Saturday. Ty Robertson, 5’11 PG 2023 Ada (MI) Athlete Headquarters: Despite a loss, I was impressed with Robertson’s toughness all game for Athlete Headquarters. Robertson made smart plays with the basketball and had one highlight play where he spun twice past defenders before making a tough layup. Bostic was playing basketball at a joyous style, throwing no look passes and making flashy layups to help his team break away from the competition. Whether it was a shot for himself, usually a floater or mid-range jumper, or a pass to a teammate, Ullom was making the right read for his team. I was impressed with his efficiency and assist totals in the victory that he led his team to this afternoon. Marion is tough to stay in front of with the ball in his hands and got hot for multiple stretches in this game. His team is playing with a lot of confidence this weekend and Marion is a huge reason why. Matas Castillo, 6’1 PG 2023 Lemont (IL) Full Package Black: Maybe the player who showed the most flair all weekend, Castillo was sensational in their win over MEBC. Castillo was a wonder to watch in transition, drawing multiple ’ohs’ and ’ahs’ from the crowd on hand to watch their game. Castillo was also making smart passes to all his teammates but has a special connection with his brother Rokas. Full Package Black had a great showing on Saturday and Castillo was a big reason for this success.
