This article will discuss players from the 2022 Class that have officially made commitments to compete at the college level next season.

Las Cruces big man [player_tooltip player_id="1076667" first="Isaiah" last="Carr"] has committed to Grand Canyon Men’s Basketball prior to the start of his senior year in early November. Isaiah had a great career at Las Cruces High School helping lead them to the 5A State Championship in 2020 and three straight championship game appearances. He brings intensity, offense and defense to the program. He has dominated the competition in New Mexico the last few years. I expect nothing but great things from [player_tooltip player_id="1076667" first="Isaiah" last="Carr"] at the next level.

William "Deuce" Benjamin Jr. recently committed to New Mexico State this past April. The 2021 Gatorade Player of the Year and 2022 MaxPreps Player of The Year announced the news on social media and will play for the school his father played for. After an incredible career at Las Cruces, he leaves the high school with an impressive legacy. He became a State Champion his sophomore year and led Las Cruces back to the State Championship the next two years. William had no weakness in his game and did everything at a high level. He will be a fun player to watch at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id="1076675" first="Jakwon" last="Hill"] was the 2021-22 Gatorade Player of The Year and the 5A-District 1 Player of The Year. During his senior season, he led Volcano Vista to their second State Championship in school history and an undefeated season. His play rewarded him by committing to New Mexico Highlands University. He is a two-way player that has improved in different areas over his four-year career at Volcano Vista. Jakwon has some of the best foot-work in the State and is an explosive scorer from inside and outside. He will be a great addition to the New Mexico Highlands program.

Highland Star [player_tooltip player_id="1076677" first="Jose" last="Murillo"] had a monster senior year and led Highland to a 4A State Championship. Jose averaged a monster double-double of over 20 points per game and over 12 rebounds per game. Shortly after the season in late April, Eastern New Mexico announced they landed the Highland big man. Jose will bring a winning mentality, toughness, and size to their program. He will make an immediate impact right away.

[player_tooltip player_id="1076669" first="Jalen" last="Goar"] announced through social media on April 13th that he would continue his basketball career at Mid America-Christian University. Jalen had a lot of success at Hobbs High School during his career at the school. He quickly became one of the top players in the state and was a match-up problem for the opposition every night out. It will be interesting to see Jalen carry that success to the college level.

Magdalena star [player_tooltip player_id="1076693" first="Joren" last="Mirabal"] had an amazing career at Magdalena High School. During his senior year he helped lead Magdalena to its second consecutive State Championship. Joren led the state of New Mexico in scoring his junior year and only got better his senior year. April 19th he committed to Southern Virginia University. Their program will receive a two-way talent that can play both sides of the ball. Joren brings leadership, scoring, shooting and energy to their squad. Joren will make a quick impact at the college level.

[player_tooltip player_id="1076691" first="Colby" last="Wade"] will be joining ABC’s Post Grad with his announcement coming through social media this past April 22nd. He had a solid four-year career at Atrisco Heritage Academy and quickly became one of the states top big men his senior year. Colby is a stretch big that can space the floor with his three-point shooting. He is also an athletic player that can run on the fast break at a high level. Colby is a great addition for ABC.

[player_tooltip player_id="1076682" first="Brady" last="Arrenius"] was one of the most underrated prospects and big men the last few years. I think it is safe to say that Brady has become one of the most consistent players of his graduating Class. He was a top tier big man in New Mexico the last two seasons and backed it up every night he played. Brady was a nice low post player and has a nice touch around the basket. He doesn’t mind initiating contact and getting physical down low with other players at his position. Brady announced on March 29th that he committed to Monmouth College and I expect him to do great things for their program.

[player_tooltip player_id="1076676" first="Diego" last="Sharp"] from ABC Prep, recently committed to Coachise College this past April. After having much success with ABC Prep, Diego earned his commitment at the next level with his work ethic and consistency. He was one of ABC’s best scorers and held his own outside the state going up against some serious competition.

[player_tooltip player_id="1280490" first="Paul" last="Lovato"] from Santa Fe High School was one of the states best low post players and interior scorers in the community. He helped Santa Fe remain as one of the most consistent programs during his time their in high school. This past April 19th, he announced through social media that he’s committed and will be joining ABC’s Post Grad. He brings a winning mentality and toughness to the ABC program.

[player_tooltip player_id="1128606" first="Javier" last="Mendoza"] has been one of the states most underrated players for the last two seasons. Javier is an all around player that plays both sides of the floor at an elite level. His play and leadership helped Atrisco Heritage get to the 5A Semifinals the last two years. Javier on the offensive end can do it all, he’s a solid three-point shooter and one of the best mid-range shooters in the community. On the defensive side of the ball, he always takes on the challenge of guarding the opposing teams best offensive player. Earlier this month, Javier announced through social media that he will be joining ABC’s Post Grad and he is a player every program wants on their roster.

[player_tooltip player_id="1280498" first="Ty" last="Barlow"] from West Mesa High School announced this past April he will be joining Citrus College to continue his basketball career at the next level. Ty is a player with a high basketball IQ that helped West Mesa reach the 5A State Tournament this past season. With his length, he’s a solid defender and quick on his feet. Ty is an unselfish player that can impact the game in various ways.

[player_tooltip player_id="1076692" first="Santiago" last="Rivas"] will be playing for ABC Prep’s Post Grad team next season. He made the announcement on April 22nd and he will be a nice addition to their program. He was an all around talent that can score the ball and be a playmaker for his team. He will have a nice role next season.

[player_tooltip player_id="1202922" first="Jeven" last="Beltran"] from Centennial High School recently committed to Western New Mexico. During his senior season, he was selected to 1st team all district and made the 4A/5A All-Star game.
