The event runs from Friday May 20th and Concludes Sunday May 22nd. As to be expected the host team has a few teams looking to make some noise. In this article, we take a look at the Knicks 16U squad.
Zak Abdalla Zak Abdalla 6'2" | SG Foothill | 2025 State NV 6’1 CG Foothill 2025 (#10PHN 2025) – Abedella concluded his freshman season with a monster scoring night against Gorman. Naturally, I’m looking to see if he can light it up this weekend. In addition to his scoring ability, I’m intersted in checking out to see if he has improved his playmaking ability enough to transition down to a 1.
Isaac Allen Isaac Allen 6'3" | SF Clover | 2024 State SC 6’2 SF Durango 2024 (#28PHN 2024) – Allen is an intriguing prospect. The athletic forward didn’t see a ton of minutes during his high school season, however he’s athletic and plays with an unbelievable motor. Two thoughts when evaluating Allen, in a wide open AAU setting, his R&J ability has a chance to shine. I’m also interested in seeing how much he has refined his additional skills since the conclusion of the high school season.
Michael Bartlett Michael Bartlett 6'3" | SF Democracy Prep | 2024 State NV 6’3 SF Durango 2024 (#58PHN 2024) – Like Allen, Bartlett is another talented player that had to bide his time on a talented team. He has a good offensive skill set, packaged in an impressive frame. Bartlett showed the ability to shoot the ball, slash and rebound during the high school season. Looking to see how well he plays on the defensive side of the ball, as a player with his agility and frame has a chance to make an impact defending wings.
R’zha Whittle R’zha Whittle 6'8" | C Rancho | 2024 State NV 6’8 C Rancho 2024 (#22PHN 2024) – Last time I saw Whittle he was putting in work for the Rams. Whittle is one of the best back to back scorers in the state, with the ability to score off direct post entries. I’ll be watching Whittle closley this weekend, as he has the kind of size and power that college coaches are looking for.
Jaden Riley Jaden Riley 6'1" | PG Liberty | 2025 State NV 6’1 PG Bonanza 2025 (#18PHN 2025) – I have always been of fan of Riley’s IQ and passing. Coming off a battle tested high school season where he played a contributing role, I’m looking to see if he stands out against older competition. Riley’s PG skills will be tested this weekend, and his ability to remain poised and protect the ball, will be part of his eval.
Antonio Burns Antonio Burns 5'10" | PG Legacy | 2025 State NV 5’9 PG Legacy 2025 (#17PHN 2025) – Burns is one of the top jitterbug PG’s in the freshman class. The lefty has a good handle and is lighting quick. He is used to getting paint touches, I want to see if he can consistently get by athletic defenders and get them at this level.
Elijah Flowers Elijah Flowers 6'2" | SG Valley | 2024 State NV 6’1 SG Valley 2024 (#54PHN 2024) – Flowers played the role of glue guy this season for Valley. He’s a tough defender that does not mind getting on the floor for his squad. Looking to see what he brings on the offensive end, specifically how he handles the ball against pressure and when attacking in transition.
