A big man that has the capabilities of hitting the outside shot. When his motor is high he really gets after it on the boards and with buckets. Defensively he held his own against a lot of the state’s top talent. The 6-foot-7 forward led his team in scoring and rebounding this past season but was also top five in both for Class A. The senior forward recorded 10 double-doubles last season, second in his class. Lam has a plethora of moves he uses down in the block to score. A great second jump makes him a beast on the offensive boards, pulling down over 80 this past season. A lot has already been said about the Bear’s big man at the next level he needs to work more on his athleticism and consistency, but has the all tools to be a good player at the next level. Already on many college radars, the big man is waiting for the right opportunity and environment.
Senior Season Averages – 18.0 Points (4th in Class A) and 8.8 rebounds (3rd in Class A)
Best Performances – 2/05 35 points vs Lincoln Southeast and 01/04 17 rebounds vs Omaha South
Henry Burt Henry Burt 6'5" | C Elkhorn South | 2022 State NE | 6’6 F | Elkhorn South
The Storm’s forward has a lot of moves down low that he uses to get buckets. Able to finish with both hands around the basket with counters and good footwork. The senior shot over 60 percent from the field which led the Storm this past season. Didn’t shoot many shots from deep but seeing him in warmups and other basketball settings he can shoot from distance and can knock down the mid-range shot. His lateral quickness helps him keep up with perimeter players. A big part of the Storm’s success this past season, Burt led the team in points, and rebounds per game. Needs to hustle a little more and have a little more grit down in the block while on defense. On offense he willing playmaker and passer but would like to see him take more jump shots to expand defenses. Overall many colleges would love to have him on their team an intelligent player that can pick up a system quickly.
Senior Season Averages – 12.6 Points and 6.1 Rebounds
Best Performances – 12/14 22 points vs Bellevue West (10/13 from the field) and 01/08 12 rebounds vs Omaha South.
Kade Mohr Kade Mohr 6'4" | SF Kearney | 2022 State NE 6’4 F | North Platte
A big man that can take up a lot of space down low. His frame makes it easy for him to struggle off people in the paint and get to his spot. Always has his eyes open to make the correct play. Not much of a scorer with 10 games scoring in double figures, the senior made his impact in other ways in the game. A capable passer, third on the team in the assist, he passes out of double teams very well when the defense collapses and he keeps his head up to spot cutters heading to the rim. Has quick feet for his size which makes him able to get in front of players driving to the bucket and set his feet to pick up timely charges. Recording eight charges this season. Not going to keep up with most perimeter players but will be able to hold his own in the paint. If he works on his athleticism and shooting he will be a key addition to any at the next level.
Averages – 8.3 points Points, 7.0 Rebounds, and 1.6 Assists.
Best Performances – 01/15 20 points vs Sydney and 01/27 15 rebounds vs Kearney
Keah Paljor Keah Paljor 6'7" | PF Omaha Central | 2022 State NE | 6’7 F | Omaha Central
A raw athletic forward that can jump out of the gym. Still need to work on some of his intangibles as far as spacing and other nuisances of the game but remains a solid prospect. Has the makeup and tools to be a very good defensive player. Led the team in blocks this past season swatting away 20 shots, the senior really shifted gears later in the season playing with a high motor and more familiarity with the game. Has great lateral movement and quickness that helps him keep up with many perimeter players. Can knock down the outside not at a high volume but around the basket is his main source of points. The senior started showing offensive potential later in the season as a result of playing time in the Eagles’ season. With better ball-handling and finishing the tall forward could possibly be a slashing forward for a team that’s looking for a wing player.
Averages – 5.2 Points, 4.0 Rebounds, and 0.7 blocks.
Best Performances – 01/07 15 points vs Burke and 01/21 13 points and 10 rebounds vs Omaha South
Raheem Brigs | 6’5 F | Omaha Central
An athletic forward with an incredible second bounce. Usually, the clean-up man for the Eagles, Briggs does all the other things on the court from pick setting and rolling to diving for loose balls. The kid has a high motor that puts him all over the court. Whether starting or playing off the bench, the forward brings energy to the court. Second, on the team in rebounds, he grabs a lot of offensive rebounds with his second jump that’s quicker than most in the state. Snagging over 50 offensive boards put him in the top half of his class. Raheem also shots well from the charity line. Knocking down 74 percent from the strip tied him for the lead on the Eagles. Briggs needs to work on his shot-creating and finishing at the rim. A raw athletic prospect that has a good shooting form should be on the radar of a lot of schools before the of the school year.
Averages – 5.1 Points and 4.8 Rebounds
Best Performance – 02/11 12 Points and 16 Rebounds vs Omaha Northwest
