The array of talent from across the country that makes it here for this event is top tier, and the amount of college coaches scouting kids and our PH staff evaluating kids is second to none. Here area my notes from Friday night where the big guards dominated the 15U scene.
Jacob Rice, 6’3 G, Chicago Hoops 2025: Rice caught our attention right when we walked in the gym. Is very physical in every aspect of the game, flew in for a couple of nice offensive boards that led to put back finishes and an and 1. Also can operate in the dribble drive game and gets to the basket. Really solid first step, strong to stay on balance with contact, and has great size.
Drew Remlinger, 6’2 W, Mid Ohio 2025: A versatile player who I can see be able to be plugged into a ton of systems and find a way to be efficient. Does a lot of damage in the painted area, is a terrific rebounder, sneaky athletic, and has a really high basketball IQ. He was one of our Top Performers on Night one.
Carter Ward, 6’2 G, Mid Ohio 2025 (Pictured): Is a long and lanky guard who can get his shot up over contests. Has a good looking shooting stroke and looked confident in his shot making. Ward is good at attacking closeouts as well and I like his game attacking the baselines. Moves without the basketball, puts opponents at a disadvantage, and is efficient.
Jacorey Robinson, 6’4 W, SSA Elite 2025 Black: When locked in and the motor is running like it was last night, Robinson showed he can be a huge threat in transition both as a passer and a scorer. Got up above the rim for multiple big time dunks and finishes in transition and getting downhill. Has long arms and can get into passing lanes or deflect balls. Gifted passer when drawing defenders in. Robinson with his athletic versatility pairs with other big Wing Jaret Sanchez on the squad.
Trayvon Taylor, 6’1 W, EZ Work Elite 2025: Super physical prospect that can play some forward and guard minutes. Taylor can step out and hit a shot, can pull out slower forwards and attack the glass, has a huge motor, lives on the glass, and has some solid skill with the ball in his hands. Taylor’s versatility, athleticism, and motor mixes to create an intriguing 2025 player.
