The Hustle Region Circuit consists of AAU Programs from California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Utah, Montana, Idaho, Colorado, and New Mexico. The circuit features 10 stops including the Hustle Region Final in Irvine July 15th – 17th. Stop number 2 took place in Denver, Colorado with the Spring Kick-Off. The event featured nearly 100 programs ranging from age 15U – to 17U. The event also featured some quality floor generals. In this article, we take a look at the top point guards from the event.
TC Shaw 5’9 PG Rising Stars 2025 – Shaw is a pitbull PG that competes. A willing defender, the PG was good defending on the ball. Offensively he showed he can make the open three, but also was a strong driver that finished through contact.
Remy Wedgeworth Remy Wedgeworth 6'0" | PG Overland | 2022 State CO PG Miners 2022 (#48PHC 2022) – Wedworth can hoop. He was one of the shiftiest players at the event, showing the ability to elude defenders with CODs. His favorite was the spin move and he had a sick one to escape a midcourt trap in the game I saw. The PG can create and was good getting all the way to the rim. Has good overall PG skills.
Avantae Hood Avantae Hood 6'0" | PG Rocky Mountain | 2025 State CO 5’9 PG Pluto Prospects 2026 – Hood has a little bit of that it factor. The aggressive PG was good at picking his spots, mixing up transition finishes to go along with slashes to the bucket. Despite his 5’9 frame, he did not shy away from contact. Hood showed his clutch gene, knocking down late-game free throws in a hard-fought 58-54 win over PSB.
Dae’Sean Johnson-Holiman Dae’Sean Johnson-Holiman 5'10" | PG Federal Way | 2023 State WA 5’9 PG BDH Elite 2023 (featured image) – DJH put up one of the better individual performances I saw. The scoring PG showed some major wiggle, shaking past defenders to the cup. He shot the three-ball well, knocking down 5 in the game against the Elevation Flyers.
Geo Velarde Geo Velarde 6'1" | SG Brighton | 2023 State CO 6’0 PG Colorado Collective 2023 (#33PHC 2023) – Velarde is a quick PG with some blow-by ability. He has a good handle and was able to defeat defenders off the bounce. Velarde got to the bucket countless times in the game I watched finishing on slashes to the rim, en route to a 22 point effort.
TaRea Fulcher TaRea Fulcher 5'11" | PG Regis Jesuit | 2023 CO 5’10 PG Premiere 2023 (#16) – If for nothing other than his stamina alone Fulcher makes the list. The PG battled for three overtimes in a great game against the Colorado Titans. His floor generalship was key, but it was his big shot-making that made the difference. The PG knocked down the game-deciding three from the corner to help Premiere with the marathon victory.
Jack Mack 5’9 PG Colorado Miners 2025 – Mack was one of the better defenders at the event. He had lighting quick hands, allowing him to pickpocket defenders, or rake down and strip the ball when in help side. He showed playmaking skills on offense, often times beating the first man, drawing the second defender, and hitting the open teammate.
