Here is a look at the class of 2023 players who can play either guard position. Running the show or scoring the ball.

20. [player_tooltip player_id="1204222" first="Aaron" last="Goldstein"]. 6”3. Xaverian (Pictured)

Every time I see Aaron play I walk away impressed. Very smooth player with the ball. Has a stop on a dime pull up. Outstanding shooter from deep. Athletic and lanky body. Excellent court vision. Schools need to get on him now.

32. [player_tooltip player_id="1125357" first="Malachi" last="Moore"] 6”3 Copiague

It’s always a good thing when a high school coach talks about what a fine young man a player is. It’s an extra bonus when he has an understanding for the game with sheer talent. Malachi is all that. A tremendous defender who takes pride in stopping a player as much as he scores on a player. Which he does quite often. Strong and athletic to the hole. Excellent wing who can block shots without fouling.

37. [player_tooltip player_id="1045692" first="Blaise" last="New"] 5”9 Iona Prep

Tough as nails guard. Very confident player. Smooth and crafty with the ball. Gets into the lane and dishes it or scores it. Has excellent range. Has the ability to score in bunches but is more of a facilitator of the ball in the Gael offense. Excellent on the ball defender. Has a nose for the ball.

Extremely quick lefty guard. Gets to the rim and finishes through contact. Very fast player in transition. Excellent defender turns defense into offense in a flash.

52. [player_tooltip player_id="1360160" first="David" last="Debusshere"] 5”10 Chaminade

Is one of the top shooters from three on the Island. Doesn’t need a lot of space to get off his shot. Good at coming off screens. Can also get off his own shot with his quick handle.

61. [player_tooltip player_id="1045732" first="Tyler" last="Castro"] 6”3. Holy Cross

Displayed a nice euro step in transition on more then one occasion seeing him. Crafty at the rim. Has good vision. Has a nice jumper but can also get to the rim.
