Proving Grounds 16u All-Tournament

<p>This past weekend in Tampa, there were quite a few 2024 prospects that stood out. A lot of solid competitors’ that could flat out hoop. These were my top 5 for the weekend.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>6’4 [player_tooltip player_id="1055718" first="Chris" last="Cornish"] SWFL Hoops</strong><br /> Cornish was easily the most electrifying and explosive prospect I watched all weekend. A tenacious rim protector, a relentless slasher, and now showcasing a nice perimeter game.</p> <p><a href="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2022/02/IMG_8144-1.jpeg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-1383903" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2022/02/IMG_8144-1-238x300.jpeg" alt="" width="238" height="300" /></a></p> <p>He had several turnaround jumpers that turned heads. Cornish is a Gym Rat and only going to get better, which is scary.<br /> <br /> <strong>6’0 [player_tooltip player_id="1424461" first="Rey" last="Daniels"] 305 Elite</strong><br /> Quite possibly the best scoring guard of the weekend. This quick guard led his team to a phenomenal weekend of wins. He boasts a great jump shot, tight handle and all the tools a coach looks for when they want a lead scoring guard. </p> <p><a href="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2022/04/26-2.jpeg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-1432527" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2022/04/26-2-225x300.jpeg" alt="" width="225" height="300" /></a></p> <p> Each time I watched Rey he seemingly got better.  I look forward to watching this prospect add more things to his bag and crush  his travel season. <br /> <br /> <strong>6’4 Jack Burkard God 1st Sports</strong><br /> This high IQ 2-way player is one of the better players to come out of Tampa in the 2024 class.</p> <p><a href="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2022/04/God-first.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-1432470" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2022/04/God-first-225x300.jpg" alt="" width="225" height="300" /></a></p> <p>The tough guard can shoot the ball extremely well and defend the 1-4.  Jack was one of the top shooters this weekend and did a lot of big things to help his team win. <br /> <br /> <strong>6’4 [player_tooltip player_id="1306134" first="Ryan" last="Blount"] AOI</strong><br /> Now known as the best shooter two weekends in a row at both Prep Hoops Florida events. And making a case as one of the premier shooters in the state regardless of class. </p> <p><a href="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2022/04/IMG_8205-rotated-e1648963960704.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-1419165" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2022/04/IMG_8205-rotated-e1648963960704-300x278.jpg" alt="[player_tooltip player_id=" width="300" height="278" /></a></p> <p>What’s not to love about a prospect that leaves it all out on the floor. A great defender and rebounder. Blount was the best two-guard this past weekend without question. <br /> <br /> <strong>6’2 Dillon Costello PSB Elite</strong><br /> Costello was a Swiss Army knife for the 4-0 PSB team. He played a big role in their battle resulting in a win over AOI with a 22 point outing.  A great shooter and capable ball handler with an above average ability to get to the basket and finish.</p> <p><a href="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2022/04/Nicholas-Simes-nicho2fly.jpeg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-1432501" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2022/04/Nicholas-Simes-nicho2fly-225x300.jpeg" alt="" width="225" height="300" /></a></p> <p>I expect we will be hearing big things about Mr. Costello and PSB Elite this travel season and beyond.</p>
