Genard Toney lll (Texas Impact 2025 6’1″) – First thing that comes to mind when i think of Genard is a defensive stopper. Everytime i watched him play he was ready to defend. He would press up by himself full court or he would wait for the ball handler at half court trying to force a backcourt violation, he is a true pest on the court!
Jacob Curtis (Team Clutch 2025 6’1″) – Curtis the guard for team clutch is a knockdown shooter for them on a consistent basis game after game from all over the floor. His ability to shoot it in transition or in a half court set really helps his team get going when they need it the most. Jacob is a active defender and like his teammates he wants to get out and get deflections in the passing lanes to finish in transition. Curtis is more than a willing passer and often times always make the extra pass to the open teammate.
Uriah Tenette (New Mexico D1 2025 6′) – The guard for this New Mexico team is what i call the definition of “head of the snake”. Uriah is the reason this team gets going. Tenette ability to blow by defenders, play at a different change of pace, shoot it with confidence and range from anywhere sets him apart from a lot of the other guards on the circuit. Uriah often times attack the rim and uses his floater or his finishing ability no matter who is in the paint. Tenette is fearless and relentless when he plays, he has the motor of someone who never takes plays off and if you’re going against him, make sure your gameplan is planned around him.
Zane Gual (New Mexico D1 2025 6’10”) – The big for New Mexico D1 draws a lot of attention not only for his size but his style of play as well. His ability to block shots and finish the defensive possessions off with a rebound is a key part to Zane game. His consistency in those areas are a huge reason why he is talked about consistently. As you watch him throughout the summer, you will see him develop his offensive game that will make him a huge threat on both ends of the floor. The ceiling for Gual is as high as he wants it go.
Sage Fejar (SSA 2025 Black, 6’1″) – The guard from Burlington high school and SSA guard knows how to get downhill out of a halfcourt set and finish in the paint. The SSA guard doesn’t waste much time showing that he will catch and get right to the rim. He loves to use his strong body and finishes very well off of 2 feet in the paint against physical defenders. Sage also showed during the live period that he can hit open 3s from the corner when you leave him open.
