The high school season provided us with an opportunity to go deep and evaluate prospects of all levels. Several players used the season as an opportunity to put their names on the map. In this article, we breakdown some of the new additions to the rankings.
Josh Chiu Josh Chiu 6'3" | PF Palo Verde | 2025 State NV 6’3 PF Palo Verde (#48) – Saw Chiu play a little JV for Palo in both the fall and during the winter. He makes the list because of his willingness to defend on the interior and his rebounding. Chiu is a big body that cracks the top 50 in his class.
Geremiah Rone Geremiah Rone 6'0" | PG Cimarron | 2025 State NV 6’0 PG Cimarron (#47) – Caught the speedy guard during the Centennial JV tournament. Rone is a good transition player that can get out ahead of the defense and score. Despite playing no varsity minutes, he showed enough potential during the JV event to warrant a place in the rankings.
Gerald Patterson Gerald Patterson 6'1" | PF Cimarron | 2025 State NV 6’1 PF Cimarron (#46) (featured image) – Patterson played next to Rone in the same JV tournament and went on to be named MVP. He’s an interior scorer, with good feet for a young player. He’s an undersized post, however, he proved that he can be productive with what he does.
Cru Dannels Cru Dannels 5'10" | PG Palo Verde | 2025 State NV 5’10 PG Palo Verde (#45) – Saw Dannels a few times throughout the season. I loved his vision and passing ability. A high IQ PG, Dannels brings a little moxie to the game. His combination of good shooting, along with some playmaking ability lands him on the list for the first time.
Isaiah Trotter Isaiah Trotter 6'5" | SF Shadow Ridge | 2025 State NV 6’5 PF Somerset Losee (#44) – Was hoping to see Trotter some this weekend during the season kickoff in California. When I saw him during the state tournament I was intrigued. He’s raw, but has good size and runs the floor well. He will be a player to keep an eye on, to see not only how he develops, but what type of player he develops into.
Elijah Coleman Elijah Coleman 6'3" | PG Clark | 2025 State NV 6’1 SG Clark (#43) – Coleman is a developing perimeter player for Clark. He’s still figuring out his game, however, he can shoot it a little, and provides backup ballhandling. He’s at his best when attacking with his strong hand, his varsity experience for Clark could prove to be vital to his development.
Ladanian Ivery Ladanian Ivery 5'9" | PG Centennial | 2025 State NV 5’9 PG Valley (#41) – One thing I know about Ivery, is that he’s not afraid. The lefty PG is a clear candidate for my all irrational confidence team. He’s unique in the fact that he brings the swagger on both ends. Ivery has the ability to knock down threes from the corner and isn’t afraid to take a big shot for his team. On defense, he’s scrappy and plays underneath ballhandlers, using his lateral quickness to make them uncomfortable.
