The day got started with a bang as D1 Indiana 2024 and EG10 2024 battled it out at 8:00 a.m. with several more good, competitive games to follow. Earlier today we quickly took a look at some of the top performers from the morning games at the MidAmerica Sports Center. Now, we will finish off the day by highlighting some of the top individual performances from the afternoon session.
Keon Alexander Keon Alexander 6'6" | PF Bolingbrook | 2023 State IL (Bolingbrook H.S. 2023): Strong, physical 6’6” post presence that finishes well around the basket. Saw him make several nice moves over his right shoulder with his left hand. Excellent rebounder on both ends of the floor and showed flashes as a rim protector as well.
Anthony Ball Anthony Ball 6'6" | PF Decatur Central | 2023 State IN (Beech Grove H.S. 2023): Fresh off winning the Class 3A State Championship last Saturday, the 6’7″ Ball continued his strong play this weekend. Ball dominated around the glass for EG10 against the Chicago Demons.
Clay Butler Clay Butler 6'1" | PG Ben Davis | 2023 State IN III (Ben Davis H.S. 2023): Running the point for D1 Indiana 2023, Butler controlled the action in both games that I watched on Saturday afternoon. He is a great playmaker off of the bounce and can get to any spot he wants on the floor. Butler is a winner.
Ahmere Carson Ahmere Carson 6'2" | PG Anderson | 2023 State IN (Anderson H.S. 2023): A strong, left-handed guard, Carson put up 20 points in EG10’s easy victory over the Chicago Demons on Saturday evening. He had his outside shot going from the opening minutes and cruised on to a high-scoring game. Very talented offensive player.
Myles Colvin Myles Colvin 6'5" | SG Heritage Christian | 2023 State #51 Nation IN (Heritage Christian 2023): Though INB Elite took a couple of tough losses, Colvin was still great individually. The future Purdue Boilermaker led a comeback attempt in their evening game against Hoops 4 Health but just didn’t quite have enough in the tank. Elite athlete with a smooth shooting stroke.
Dashawn Hall Dashawn Hall 6'3" | SG Marion C. Moore | 2024 State KY (Louisville Atherton H.S. 2024): Dynamic playmaker with elite vision and excellent passing ability. Long, 5’11” point guard that looks like he will continue to grow a bit. Very good on-ball defender as well. Will be a prospect to keep an eye on this spring and summer. Plays with Kentucky Vision Elite 2024.
Kamari Jones Kamari Jones 6'4" | SG Lawrence Centra (IN) / Hilcrest Prep (AZ) | 2023 IN (Lawrence Central H.S. 2023): Jones is one of the more underrated scorers in Indiana’s Class of 2023. That won’t be the case for much longer. Playing for D1 Indiana, the 6’3″ guard showcased his smooth shooting stroke as well as his elite athletic ability with a couple of big time dunks. He is poised for a breakout spring and summer.
Teagan Moore Teagan Moore 6'4" | SF Owen County | 2023 State KY (Owen County H.S. 2023): Strong, physical wing that showed his high-level shooting ability in a 20-point win over INB Elite. Playing for Griffin Elite, the 6’4” Moore hit four three-pointers to lead his team in scoring. Very good looking prospect.
Robby Todd Robby Todd 6'7" | PF Madison Central | 2022 State KY (Madison Central H.S. 2022): Todd showed great patience in the post playing with a wide base and scoring the ball consistently with his back to the basket. Great size and strength at 6’7” that will be a great late addition to a college’s recruiting class. Definitely a scholarship level forward.
