Chris Riddle Chris Riddle 6'5" | SF Kenwood | 2024 State #204 Nation IL — SF — Mac Irvin Fire 16U
When Riddle decides that he wants to put his head down and get a bucket, there are not may defenders that will be able to successfully slow him down. The 6-foot-6 small forward has a strong build, athleticism, and all of the skills necessary to succeed. He is able to make outside shots, dominate in the paint, and handle the ball. It is not hard to see why Riddle has already been able to pull in a handful of Division One scholarship offers. He scored 13 points in a Mac Irvin Fire win.
Josh Pickett Josh Pickett 6'5" | SG St. Laurence | 2024 State #277 Nation IL — G — Mac Irvin Fire 16U
I loved what I saw from Pickett in Mac Irvin Fire’s win on Saturday afternoon. The guard is a more than capable shooter, but this does not mean that he settles for jumpers. Using his 6-foot-5 frame, Pickett is able to make contested layups over much taller defenders. He is also very quick and shifty with good handles. He is able to use these skills to blow past defenders. Pickett scored 13 points on five made field goals on Saturday.
Cooper Farrall Cooper Farrall 6'5" | SF Culver Academy | 2023 State IN — SF — Team GRIII Elite 17U
Farrall was on fire on Saturday afternoon. Everything that the small forward put up seemed to fall. Farrall entered the spring AAU season already ranked as one of the best prospects in Indiana’s 2023 class. And his play the last two weekends has only raised his stock. Farrall is a huge problem for opposing defenders. It doesn’t matter how you guard him, the SF is still going to find a way to score. Farrall scored 27 points in a loss.
James Brown James Brown 6'9" | C Link Academy (from Chicago) | 2024 #66 Nation MO — C — Meanstreets 16U
Brown didn’t have a big-time scoring performance, but he still did more than enough to earn a spot on this list. The number one ranked prospect in Illinois’ 2024 class rebounded well, blocked shots, and ran the floor. With scholarship offers from the likes of Wisconsin, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Illinois, and many others, Brown will have plenty of options when he decides to make a college decision.
Nojus Indrusaitis Nojus Indrusaitis 6'5" | SG Brewster Academy | 2024 State #79 Nation New E — SG — Meanstreets 16U
Indrusaitis was at his best in Meanstreets’ big win over Team Rose. The shooting guard rattled off 11 points early in the first half. He didn’t stop there, though. Indrusaitis continued to get buckets for the remainder of the game, eventually finishing with a game-high 19 points. I was most impressed with how the SG scored. He didn’t jack up selfish shots. Instead, he played within the offense, patiently waiting for his opportunity. And when his opportunity came, he capitalized on it.
JJ Taylor — SF — Mac Irvin Fire 17U
It isn’t difficult to see why Taylor is ranked as one of the top prospects in the class of 2023. The Mac Irvin Fire small forward is everything that you would want to see in an elite recruit. He is 6-foot-6 with good length, can drain threes, is effective in the midrange, can finish at the rim, and is also a phenomenal passer. Taylor has scholarship offers from pretty much every top college program that you can think of. After his play on Saturday, it is clear that Taylor will find success at the college level.
