Mark Nikolich-Wilson Mark Nikolich-Wilson 6'7" | C Rolling Meadows | 2023 State IL — C — Full Package 2023
Nikolich-Wilson was one of the biggest stock risers from last weekend at The Stage. The Full Package center was very impressive once again on Friday night. The center is such a unique prospect. Standing at 6-foot-7 with a bulky build, Nikolich-Wilson has nimble feet and is also a really good ballhandler. He can shoot it from deep, too. To put it simply, Nikolich-Wilson has the skills that a guard would typically possess, but he has a center’s body.
James Prescott — CG — Illinois Elite 2023
Prescott was the catalyst for Illinois Elite in their big-time win over a really talented Full Package squad. The shifty combo guard scored 20 points and showed off all his skills on the offensive end. I was particularly impressed with how skilled of a ballhandler Prescott was. Using his speed and crafty handles, the CG created separation and hit some very difficult shots.
Nikola Abusara Nikola Abusara 6'5" | SF Benet | 2023 State IL — SF — Full Package 2023
I really like Abusara’s game. He is a 6-foot-4 forward/wing that plays at a high level on both ends. On offensive, he is a deadly slasher who is able to use his length and athleticism to slash to the paint. He also showed an ability to drain outside shots, as he made a difficult three late in the game. On defense, Abursara has quick feet and hands, which he uses to stay in front of his man and block shots. He was able to put up 12 points in an impressive two-way effort for Full Package on Friday night.
Brady Kunka Brady Kunka 6'4" | SG Benet Academy | 2023 State IL — G — Illinois Attack
Everything was going right for Illinois Attack in its blowout win on Friday night. And a big reason for Attack’s success was Kunka. The guard poured in 25 points, really standing out from the rest of his competitors. Kunka was able to display his versatility on the offensive end, as he scored in many different ways. He finished at the rim, made jumpers, and got to the free throw line early and often. It was an outstanding performance from Kunka in a winning effort.
Joseph Chaney — G — R 4 L 2023
Chaney got off to a really fast start on Friday night for R 4 L. He scored seven out of his squad’s nine first points. He did it from everywhere, too. He drained a three, had a pretty cut which led to a layup, recorded a steal, and got to the foul stripe and drilled two free throws. The guard out of Princeton certainly got his weekend off to a good start.
Randy Johnson — F — Team Rose 3SSB 2024
Johnson owned the paint in a night one victory for Team Rose. The 6-foot-4 forward rebounded well on both sides, finished through contact, and drew fouls. He was able to pour in 16 points in an impressive win for Team Rose.
Mike Jones Mike Jones 6'7" | PF Chi-Prep | 2025 State #164 Nation IL — PF — Team Rose 3SSB 2024
It is very easy to see why Jones is ranked as a top ten prospect in Illinois’ 2024 class. The 6-foot-6 power forward is extremely talented. In Team Rose’s win, Jones did a lot of great things on both ends. He hit some jumpers, rebounded well, and protected the paint. I really think that Jones is just scratching the surface on his true potential.
