Prep Hoops was in attendance for the final day of action at the Big Shots Carolina Live in Rock Hill this past weekend. Let’s take a look at a look at some youngsters and out of staters right here.

Shot Callerz Nation Stand Up

[player_tooltip player_id="1220036" first="Amare" last="Adams"], [player_tooltip player_id="1239533" first="Caden" last="Edmond"] and [player_tooltip player_id="1425907" first="Elijah" last="Smith"] stand up. This trio and some other young lads on this feisty group from Chesterfield County have had a nice spring on the Grassroots Circuit. Adams is a rugged and powerful post down on the block with good footwork and soft hands. Amare can really carve out space while down low and really likes to mix it up.

Edmond was big today while Prep Hoops was in attendance today scoring 21 points. Caden scored the ball from 3 levels on the floor and showed his athleticism on his way to the basket. Adams and Edmond both attend Central HS (Pageland).

Smith really has made some strides this spring and looks to be a Stock Riser (Hint) down the road here in the Palmetto State. Elijah seems to be getting more active and confident down in the paint. He tends to challenge shots on defensive and plays extremely hard down in the paint. Elijah who attends Cheraw HS still must get stronger and finish on contact better. He really does a great job of attacking the defensive glass and claiming rebounds.

This team has really put together a solid bunch of players from the Chesterfield and Kershaw County area. Look for this group to make some noise this summer playing on the 15U bracket.

Anthony Morrow Elite Playing Well

[player_tooltip player_id="1008884" first="JJ" last="Moore"] can really pile up the points in quick second at times. Moore has been suiting up for Anthony Morrow Elite. Moore turns the corner like a blur at times to the rack and can really score the ball while on the floor. JJ who attends Lincoln Charter sure doesn’t lack confidence on the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id="1104967" first="Zion" last="McDuffie"] is a nice sized wing who can knockdown shots on the perimeter. Zion who attends Butler HS was able to fill the lane in transition today when he wasn’t setting up shop out on the wing.

The Hoop State Had Good Representation Here

[player_tooltip player_id="1352123" first="Max" last="Frazier"] was a forward who sure made some noise today with his play around the basket. Frazier who attends Northwoods HS (Pittsboro) is a lengthy and active forward. Max was able to contest and block shots on the defensive end of the floor. Frazier did a good job of running the floor and filling the lane in transition while showing a good upside. Frazier runs with the Durham Hurricanes.

[player_tooltip player_id="932124" first="Broderick" last="Ellis II"] and [player_tooltip player_id="1241681" first="Dorien" last="Johnson"] both members of the Class of 2022 still remain UNSIGNED. This duo plays with Big Shots North Carolina Lewis. Ellis II is a stretch forward who can play with his back to the basket at times or out on the wing. Broderick brings good versatility to the floor and length. Broderick was great today piling up rebounds on both ends of the floor.

Johnson a combo guard can pile up some points in a hurry when he gets it going. Dorien played this past season at United Faith Christian Academy after playing a season ago at Westminster Catawba (Rock Hill, SC).
