<p>We dive into the positional rankings. We first look at the point guards for the freshman class. </p>

<p>Here are the top-9 PG’s in the 2025 class: (A good group here).</p>
<p>[player_tooltip player_id="1425099" first="Kaleel" last="Kelly"] <strong>Willow Canyon</strong> </p>
<p>The top pure point guard threads the needle to anyone on the court at all times. He has a thicker frame and is pushing 6’2. He hits deep jumpers from the three off the catch and will burst into the lane to score through contact. </p>

<p>A pure point guard with a high feel for the game plays at a good pace. He has good size already for position and led an older team to be the runner up in the 3A AIA State finals. He shoots it to the 3 to keep the defense honest and gets into the lane to score. He avg 4.7 assists per game. (#1 freshman in AIA). </p>
<p>[player_tooltip player_id="1348322" first="Tanner" last="Delevante"] <strong>Dream City Christian </strong></p>
<p>The Jamaican pure point guard has speed and a burst. He has a super tight handle and throws darts to teammates with his left or right hand. He regularly gets into the lane and will score or drive and kick. He is quick on the ball defensively. </p>

<p>A scoring lead guard with quickness and speed with the ball. He does make good reads with the ball but has that scoring mentality. He has a pretty stroke to the 3pt line and can get to the rim. </p>

<p>A poised freshman plays well beyond his years. He seems to have found a happy medium of scorer and facilitator very early in his high school career. He hits the 3, moves without the ball and makes plays for his teammates. He avg 4.1 assists per game. (#3 freshman in AIA). </p>
<p>[player_tooltip player_id="1042714" first="Archie" last="Graves IV"] <strong>South Mountain</strong></p>
<p>A somewhat flashy point guard has a tight handle with speed. He can rise up and shoot it from mid-range with good elevation and hit the catch-3. He loves using his handle to get into the lane and scoring or throwing a pass. </p>
<p>[player_tooltip player_id="1217315" first="TayVion" last="Wilson"] <strong>Kellis</strong></p>
<p>One of the top shooting lead guards in the class. He lets it fly from anywhere beyond the arc. He has a high IQ and a quicker release to get his deep ball off. He uses the pick and roll game to his advantage and can dime teammates. </p>
<p>[player_tooltip player_id="1379909" first="Carson" last="Grier"] <strong>Valley Christian </strong></p>
<p>The biggest pure point guard in the class currently. He uses his size and a quick first step to get downhill and passed his defenders to score. He sees plays developing quickly and makes the pass. </p>
<p>[player_tooltip player_id="996764" first="Brennan" last="Peterson"] <strong>NDP</strong></p>
<p>A pure point guard with a sweet shooting stroke. He quickly anticipates his teammates and will throw dimes all over the court. He is best off the catch and shoot from the arc and has a quick trigger. He avg 3.7 assists per game. (#6 freshman in AIA). </p>
