Isaac Asuma Isaac Asuma 6'3" | PG Cherry | 2024 State #102 Nation MN of Cherry (6’2 PG, D1 Minnesota). Who do we think the next Minnesota 2024 talent will be to get a high major offer? Isaac Asuma Isaac Asuma 6'3" | PG Cherry | 2024 State #102 Nation MN . Not only did he lead his team to the state semi-finals, it’s the way he did it. Isaac has physically matured as well as matured as a player. Add in his outstanding ability to create for himself and others and this is a guy who we think will be playing lead guard for a high major program in the future.
Charlie Bern Charlie Bern 6'4" | PF East Ridge | 2024 State MN of East Rdige (6’5 PF, Minnesota Fury). Let this be know, we now know there are two Charlie sophomores that play with smarts, intelligence, and toughness for East Ridge and the Fury. Charlie Theis Charlie Theis 6'5" | PF East Ridge | 2024 State MN is one, Charlie Bern Charlie Bern 6'4" | PF East Ridge | 2024 State MN is the other. Bern has some nasty bounce and he used it to make 60 plus percent of his shots this year and rebound at a high level. But it’s more than bounce, Bern is physical and he moves well laterally allowing him to defend at a high level.
Grayson Grove Grayson Grove 6'9" | PF Alexandria Area | 2024 State #171 Nation MN of Alexandria (6’8 PF, D1 Minnesota). Grove is exactly what college programs are looking for when it comes to players with size that can stretch the floor. The days of a 6’8 four/five that isn’t perimeter skilled have slipped by while a guy like Grayson Grove Grayson Grove 6'9" | PF Alexandria Area | 2024 State #171 Nation MN (and Jackson McAndrew Jackson McAndrew 6'10" | PF Wayzata | 2024 State #24 Nation MN ) is stepping in with stretch four comfort and back to the basket comfort.
Kole Hanson Kole Hanson 6'2" | PG Holy Family | 2024 State MN of Edina (6’1 PG, D1 Minnesota). Hanson had an excellent year at Edina and proved that he belongs up there with the other talented west metro point guards. For me it was the clutch play and the consistent production that led to your major push. There are kids that play with skill, and skilled players that have a competitive fight that helps teams win. Hanson is the second.
Jackson McAndrew Jackson McAndrew 6'10" | PF Wayzata | 2024 State #24 Nation MN of Wayzata (6’8 PF, Team Tyus). Stretch fours with the size and skill to do other things, that is Jackson. McAndew just picked up an offer from UST and there are other teams quite interested. McAndrew stepped into a reserve role this year for Wayzata and did a nice job giving the team reserve big man minutes. His next 24 months we think could be very impressive, we just need to see more before we give him the next boost.
Zy’lerre Stewart of Totino-Grace (6’1 PG, Real Phenom 17s). There were a lot of days where the state champion Eagles were at their best when Stewart was on the floor with his toughness defending good players on one end and then going the other way and being that ball reversing or attacking guard balancing out the talented line-up. His toughness is a big thing that moves him on this list.
Henry Tschetter Henry Tschetter 6'3" | SG Stewartville | 2024 State MN of Stewartville (6’3 Guard, Minnesota Heat). Minnesota, there’s another Tschetter. And he’s pretty damn good as well. Henry led the Tigers to a much better season than anybody expected them to have this year and he’s doing it as a combo guard with abilities. This has carried over to what the Heat have done this season as well. Led the Tigers in scoring and assists, plays hard both ways
Owen Waldoch Owen Waldoch 6'7" | PF Forest Lake | 2024 State MN of Forest Lake (6’6/6’7 PF, Minnesota Heat). Again, stretch fours. Owen fits that role as well. Owen isn’t quite as big as Grove and McAndrew but he might be a bit more agile. Owen had a great year for Forest Lake scoring 17/18 a game and is off to a great start playing with the Heat helping them win while he had a great weekend in Indy two weeks back.
