Motive Ayers, 6-foot-5 forward, 2024, Wellington HS, Hunt United (pictured):
Ayers is a high flyer who put on a dunk show in his final game of the day. He stepped up his aggressiveness when his team needed production. He can do more than just dunk. He handles the ball in the open floor, and can make plays in the lane, particularly off offensive boards. He is a pickpocket who tipped the ball away from several dribblers. He also had a couple of chase-down blocks in transition.
Marcus Bauman Marcus Bauman 6'0" | CG Sabetha | 2024 State KS , 6-foot-1 guard, 2024, Sabetha HS, SSA Hoops Elite White:
Bauman is a powerfully built guard who never relents. He attacks the defense with the ball and moves without it. He scored in transition and in the half-court set, and he got to the line repeatedly by powering his way into the paint through traffic. He handles the ball efficiently and keeps his head up to find open teammates.
Camden Beahm, 6-foot-3 forward, 2024, Circle HS, Buddy Buckets – Mocaby:
Beahm floated inside the land out around the perimeter, making plays and showing off coordination and a variety of skills. Despite the frenetic pace, Beahm appeared under control and took care of the ball. He dropped a few threes, knifed into the lane to catch and score, and moved the ball well to teammates. He showed the ability to defend the post and to guard on the perimeter.
Kaden Franklin, 6-foot-6 forward, 2024, Derby HS, Wichita Padres – Kiem:
Franklin was a workhorse for the Padres. He was productive by doing the dirty work. He has the skills to handle the ball all over the court, but he doesn’t dominate the ball. He picks his opportunities to attack the defense, and is athletic and tough enough to get it done. Franklin was one of the hardest working and most consistent players on the first day.
Griffin Heger, 5-foot-10 guard, 2024, Hugoton HS, Western Kansas Elite Blue:
Heger is a fearless point guard who attacks at full speed. He finds teammates on the move, often passing the ball aggressively up the court, and he can hit the outside shot. He’s a pesky defender who is tough and will stick his nose in for a loose ball.
