Top Uncommitted 2022 Point Guards

<p>The class of 2022 has completed their high school careers with the state tournament concluding earlier this month.  On Monday we released the final 2022 rankings.  It is time to go over the best unsigned prospects remaining on the board.  Here are the <strong>Top Uncommitted 2022 Point Guards</strong>!</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="925214" first="Davontae" last="Hall"] (Hyde Park)</strong></p> <p>Final Ranking: #24</p> <p>Hall can flat out go!  Explosive combo guard that is electric with the rock in his hands.  At his best playing with speed in the open floor along with getting points off his defensive intensity.  Mixes in threes pulling up and is a solid passer.  Low-major no doubt.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="863615" first="Amarion" last="Nimmers"] (Rock Island)</strong></p> <p>Final Ranking: #30</p> <p>Nimmers had a monster senior campaign.  Every time we saw Rock Island he put on a clinic.  Very slippery scoring guard that loves to elude defenders with his handles and quick twitched burst.  Solid passer especially as a kick guy to open shooters.  Improved as a shooter as the season went on.  Low-major prospect.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1210381" first="Orlando" last="Thomas"] (Rolling Meadows)</strong></p> <p>Final Ranking: #43</p> <p>Thomas told me back in June he was going to rise up the rankings and man did he ever!  So much fun watching this big bodied combo guard do this thing.  He can post up smaller guards, use his creative handles to get to his in between game which includes a killer floater, and has become a decent pull up shooter over the last year.  D2s he is a no brainer!</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="996066" first="Dajuan" last="Bates"] (De La Salle)</strong></p> <p>Final Ranking: #45</p> <p>Bates was one of the top scorers in the city this season for the Catholic League power.  Wiry point guard that can really score it and when he is hot can carry an offense.  Quick in tight spaces changing directions on a dime while scoring on drives and is a decent shooter.  Like his potential on the defensive end.  Score first guard is a high end D2 guy that could elevate his stock at a JUCO.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="996063" first="Trey" last="Redd"] (Normal Community)</strong></p> <p>Final Ranking: #48</p> <p>Redd is different than almost all of the other guards on this list with the fact that he is at his best as a distributor.  More of a traditional floor general that runs a team and can pick apart defenses in the half court.  The crafty guard mixes in floaters and can hit an open three.  Very good D2 prospect.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1276139" first="Darius" last="Robinson"] (Kenwood)</strong></p> <p>Final Ranking: #49</p> <p>Robinson found his home at Kenwood this year and excelled in their up and down system.  Combo guard with good projectability is at his best as a spot up shooter and secondary ball handler.  Like him in an up tempo D2 style of game.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1106930" first="Marquel" last="Saleek"] (Willowbrook)</strong></p> <p>Final Ranking: #58</p> <p>Saleek is a two way guard that is an offensive scoring threat with the ball in his hands.  Does most of his damage in one on one situations breaking down defenders for buckets whether it is pulling up or getting to the cup.  Has the tools to be a good defender.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="925193" first="Avyion" last="Morris"] (Simeon)</strong></p> <p>Final Ranking: #59</p> <p>Someone who already is an elite defender is Morris.  The best on ball defender in the class period.  He locked down opponents taller than him all year long.  The 5’10” guard is a Patrick Beverly 2.0 at his size and will be a tremendous defensive leader for a D2 or JUCO.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1048730" first="Jaydin" last="Dunlap"] (Bolingbrook)</strong></p> <p>Final Ranking: #64</p> <p>Dunlap helped lead his team downstate with a strong senior campaign for Bolingbrook.  Good instincts as a scorer knowing when to pick his spots.  Best with his 15-18 jumper and as a quality perimeter defender.   D2 guy.</p>
