PH: Region 4 MVP’s

<p>With Region 4 being so small as it is just the schools down South in St. George and the other schools up North in Cache County area we will be Picking an MVP and a Runner-Up. </p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Region 10 MVP</span></p> <p><strong>6’9 C [player_tooltip player_id="934041" first="Lyman" last="Simmons"] || Snow Canyon High School || 2023 ||</strong></p> <p>Lyman was effective all year long as he used his height and length to alter shots in the paint and to rebound at a high clip. He displayed a few new sides to his game as he was more agile and more willing to take jumpers when he was open. Lyman also improved his physicality as he was more willing to take those hits in the paint and also give them. Lyman scored in double-figures all but two games this season and in those two games they won and he didn’t play much because it was 20 point blowout. Lyman is a well known rebounder but he also improved his passing ability as he would find the open player and they would convert on a lot of his passes. </p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Region 10 Runner-Up</span></p> <p><strong>6’3 G [player_tooltip player_id="934519" first="Zab" last="Santana"] || Cedar City High School || 2022 ||</strong></p> <p>It seems like just yesterday we watched Zab play his freshman year at the Corner Canyon Tournament and now he has really transformed his game as he has a grown man game. Zab was the leading scorer in 4A and he had some huge games. Zab was dang near close to a triple-double every time he set foot on the floor. The do it all guard was a tough cover as he could score in so many ways. Zab is an intriguing prospect that is a big guard that can score the ball. </p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Region 11 MVP </span></p> <p><strong>6’0 G [player_tooltip player_id="934474" first="Kaden" last="Cox"] || Ridgeline High School || 2022 ||</strong></p> <p>Kaden not only was superb his senior year but he had a lot of magic all year that led to him making some amazing plays and shots. Kaden was 1,000 + point scorer and he was not just doing it from deep he was slashing to the rim and he was really effective. In the state tournament he displayed what he would do on the daily in region play and that is to hit ridiculous shots from deep. Kaden is a good football player that has a PWO opportunity at Utah State but his recruiting in basketball is wide open. He is a big time shooter that can play PG. </p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Region 11 Runner-Up</span></p> <p><strong>6’5 W [player_tooltip player_id="969255" first="Logan" last="Deal"] || Sky View High School || 2023 ||</strong></p> <p>With one more year left this could mean that Sky View will become the favorite next season in this region. Logan was dealing all year ling as he was just a big body that was not going to be stopped. Logan was a big reason they had the eventual state champion on the ropes. Logan had 10 double-doubles this season and look for a lot of that next season as well. </p>
