Robert Davis Jr. (2022, SF, Hamtramck)
Davis Jr. is showing the state that he is true superstar in high school basketball. He can, and has been, playing high quality basketball against the very best in the state. Davis Jr. is showing that he’s the real deal at the highest level.
Thomas Dillard Iv Thomas Dillard Iv 6'4" | SF Kalamazoo Central | 2022 State MI (2022, SF, Kalamazoo Central)
Defense wins championships and Dillard has been showing the state of Michigan his defensive prowess. He plays championship defense to say the least.
Damaryon Fishburn Damaryon Fishburn 6'4" | CG Trillium Academy | 2023 State MI (2023, CG, Taylor Trillium)
Fishburn shows up every night and leads his Trillium squad. His all around game allows him to touch every corner of the stat sheet. Fishburn has been rolling in the playoffs and has his team looking like a state title type of team.
Bryson Huckaby (2022, SG, Freeland)
Huckaby has had a terrific season and has his team on the brink of a regional championship. His leadership and scoring have been, and will continue to be, critical to his team’s success.
Parker LePla (2025, PF, Goodrich)
LePla is showing that he will be a beast in the paint over the next few years. He continues to play at a high level and control the lane for his Goodrich team.
Kameron Mayes Kameron Mayes 6'5" | SF Detroit Catholic Central | 2022 State MI (2022, SF, Detroit Catholic Central)
Mayes is turning heads in the playoffs. The unsigned senior should be drawing a lot of attention from college coaches looking for that late steal. He’s scoring in a very efficient manner and willing to play whatever role his team needs from him for the W.
Tayshaun Nathan Tayshaun Nathan SG Taylor Trillium | 2023 MI (2023, SG, Taylor Trillium)
I saw Nathan play at the Flight Hankamp Open Run at Lake Michigan College and he was lights out. He’s currently showing the entire state his superior athleticism, vertical game, and finishing ability in transition.
Triston Nichols Triston Nichols 6'2" | SF De La Salle | 2023 State MI (2023, SF, De La Salle)
Nichols is showing everyone exactly how his game keeps expanding and developing. He’s a strong and physical wing with much improved scoring prowess and jumper.
Malik Olafioye Malik Olafioye 6'2" | PG Ecorse | 2023 MI (20223, PG, Ecorse)
I’ve been saying it since he busted on to the scene in the fall of his freshman year at the Prep Hoops Michigan Top 250: He’s one of the most talented guards in the country. He makes plays off the bounce, and along with Kenneth Morrast Jr., has Ecorse looking like a possible favorite for a state championship.
Trent Rice Trent Rice 5'10" | SG Marine City Cardinal Mooney | 2023 State MI (2023, SG, Marine City Cardinal Mooney)
Cardinal Mooney keeps advancing and Trent Rice Trent Rice 5'10" | SG Marine City Cardinal Mooney | 2023 State MI keeps having high quality games. He even added a double-double in the regional semifinals with 14 points and 10 rebounds. He’s looked very solid every game in the playoffs.
RJ Taylor RJ Taylor 6'0" | PG Grand Blanc | 2023 State #262 Nation MI (2023, PG, Grand Blanc)
Taylor has looked terrific throughout the playoffs and it’s becoming apparent that last year wasn’t that he was paired up with a superstar. It’s more like Taylor is a superstar that makes other superstars even better. He’s probably one of the best passers in the midwest.
Hutch Ward Hutch Ward 6'8" | PF Kalamazoo Central | 2023 State MI (2023, PF, Kalamazoo Central)
Kalamazoo Central is a very good defensive team, so having a shooter step up in the playoffs is huge. Ward is opening eyes across the state as to his potential as a versatile stretch 4.
