Let’s play a game. There are 8 teams left standing in both Division 1 and Division 2. What if we made a team of stars from both of the brackets? What would the teams look like? Who would win the star studded matchup? The only rules: 1) Only 12 players per roster. 2) All 8 teams must be represented. With those rules it won’t be a complete "all-star team", but more a strategic compilation of terrific players.

I’m going to give you my rosters. Please comment and tell and show us what your version would be as there are no right or wrong answers!

DIVISION 1 ROSTER

[player_tooltip player_id="863969" first="Terrance" last="Broughton"] (2022, PG, Detroit Cass Tech)

Broughton is a playmaker and a menace in the open floor.

[player_tooltip player_id="863968" first="Thomas" last="Dillard IV"] (2022, G/F, Kalamazoo Central)

Dillard IV brings elite defense, toughness, and strength to the roster.

[player_tooltip player_id="787651" first="JaVaughn" last="Hannah"] (2022, SG, Orchard Lake St. Mary’s)

Hannah is an elite scorer that can get hot at any time.

[player_tooltip player_id="1140922" first="Chas" last="Lewless"] (2024, PG, Detroit Catholic Central)

I want this silky smooth young lead guard in the lineup. He can effect the game in so many ways.

Trey McKenney (2025, G/F, Orchard Lake St. Mary’s)

McKenney can play physically and has an elite mid range game.

[player_tooltip player_id="1350325" first="Bryce" last="Radtka"] (2022, PF, Belleville)

Belleville had a group of athletic guards and wings that I could have also chosen, but Radtka gives a fronty court presence. He screens well and rolls to the rim pass ready.

[player_tooltip player_id="1181896" first="Kareem" last="Rozier"] (2022, PG, Orchard Lake St. Mary’s)

Rozier is a veteran lead guard and one of the best on ball defenders in the state.

[player_tooltip player_id="1111924" first="EJ" last="Ryans"] (2024, CG, Northview)

Ryans can break a defender down off the dribble and create for himself as well as his teammates.

[player_tooltip player_id="986902" first="Michael" last="Sulaka"] (2023, C, Warren De La Salle)

Much like Radtka, I need Sulaka on the inside. He’s an excellent interior defender and rim protector.

[player_tooltip player_id="985658" first="RJ" last="Taylor"] (2023, PG, Grand Blanc)

Taylor is one of the best passers in the midwest. He’d be a highlight reel passer surrounded with all this talent.

[player_tooltip player_id="787685" first="Kyler" last="Vanderjagt"] (2022, SG, Northview)

Vanderjagt is a powerful guard that can score at all 3 levels.

[player_tooltip player_id="1077679" first="Hutch" last="Ward"] (2023, PF, Kalamazoo Central)

The way Ward has been playing recently, he has to be on the roster. He can stretch the floor at the forward.

DIVISION 2

[player_tooltip player_id="1112374" first="Durral" last="Brooks"] (2024, PG, Grand Rapids Catholic Central)

Brooks will bring it on both ends of the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id="863935" first="Max" last="Burton"] (2022, SF, Williamston)

Burton is a matchup nightmare at any level.

[player_tooltip player_id="1349419" first="Mason" last="Docks"] (2022, PG, Williamston)

Docks is a speedy guard that can go 0-100 in no time.

[player_tooltip player_id="863920" first="Jason" last="Drake"] (2022, CG, Ferndale)

Drake is a high level athlete that makes plays at the highest of levels. He’d be a danger turning the corner in a game like this.

[player_tooltip player_id="986241" first="Bryce" last="Eaton"] (2023, PG, Detroit Edison)

Eaton is a lightning bolt that can get the ball behind the D in transition.

[player_tooltip player_id="987285" first="Grant" last="Gondrezick"] (2023, PG, Benton Harbor)

Gondrezick is a smooth guard that moves strategically without the ball. If he gets hot shooting, watch out.

[player_tooltip player_id="863960" first="Trucel" last="Singleton"] (2022, PG, Benton Harbor)

Singleton can play on or off the ball and can both score and dish at a very high level.

[player_tooltip player_id="863987" first="Bryson" last="Huckeby"] (2022, G/F, Freeland)

Huckeby has been playing very well in the playoffs. He’s been a consistent scorer and active on the glass.

[player_tooltip player_id="787680" first="Jack" last="Karasinski"] (2022, SF, Grand Rapids Catholic Central)

Karasinski is an elite wing that can score from so many different spots on the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id="863927" first="Treyvon" last="Lewis"] (2022, SF, Ferndale)

Lewis brings a very high level of athleticism. He can shoot with range as well as finish above the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id="986886" first="Jaden" last="Montague"] (2023, PG, Cadillac)

Montague can attack off the bounce, especially from the baseline.

[player_tooltip player_id="1068124" first="Jon" last="Risi"] (2022, SF, Pontiac Notre Dame Prep)

Risi is a top notch shooter that can get it up and over his defender very quickly.
