Standouts from the SEMI’S

[player_tooltip player_id="1169136" first="Mason" last="Klabo"] (2025) |6-0 G| Davies

29 points, 4 three-pointers, 7-11 FT’s, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals. As per usual, he was the best shooter on the court in this game. Klabo’s pull-up jumper is perfect, in rhythm, quick, and he gets excellent elevation. I really like the way Klabo uses his body to protect the ball when finishing around the basket. Mason showed off his extended shooting range from beyond the arc. He is a gifted passer and a top-notch rebounder for only being a 9th grader. Klabo also hit clutch FT’s down the stretch. Another awesome performance for Mason.

[player_tooltip player_id="1161486" first="Alex" last="Proctor"] (2022) |6-1 G| Davies

8 points, 2-2 FT’s, 4 rebounds, 1 steal. Proctor put on a display of athleticism last night with quickness, speed, and excellent leaping ability. Alex had multiple athletic and acrobatic finishes at the rim. He had a crazy underhand finish in transition, it was quite the basket.

[player_tooltip player_id="1050247" first="Raymond" last="Brown"] (2023) |6-1 G| Davies

11 points, 2 three-pointers, 3-4 FT’s, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal. He had a very nice overall game for the Eagles. Brown is a stud athlete and a playmaker. His jumper looked silky smooth last night as well.

[player_tooltip player_id="812229" first="Ian" last="Motschenbacher"] (2022) |6-0 G| Davies

9 points, 3-4 FT’s, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals. He impressed me with a tough baseline jumper with a hand in his face. Ian had a great basket on a BLOB. Motsch inbounded to Klabo and received the ball on a handoff, he attacked off the dribble and scored with a short jumper from the paint. Ian also had a clever steal late in the game to help finish off the Deacons.

[player_tooltip player_id="1128188" first="Conner" last="Kraft"] (2023) |6-7 PF| Shanley

14 points, 2-2 FT’s, 10 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block. Conner had a quality double-double. His length and athleticism are very intriguing. Kraft showcased those with an impressive slam dunk. Kraft showed off his anticipation by picking off a pass when on help-side defense. He was also impressive when blocking shots. Connor showed a soft touch when finishing around the basket. I liked how he was able to finish in traffic and after contact.

[player_tooltip player_id="1213170" first="Vuciri" last="Hakim"] (2023) |6-4 F| Shanley

14 points, 2-2 FT’s, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block. He is a very nice athlete with good length. Hakim had a very athletic finish in transition. He also impressed me with a lefty finish on a baseline spin-move. Vuciri had and nice spin-move finish that resulted in an AND1. On defense, Hakim had a sweet blocked shot.

Jack Pollert (2022) |6-2 F| Shanley

6 points, 3-4 FT’s, 10 rebounds, and 2 assists. The big strong senior grabbed 10 rebounds, all defensively. Pollert is a solid all-around player that is obviously a gifted rebounder.

[player_tooltip player_id="1046354" first="Michael" last="Nhial"] |6-7 PF| Sheyenne

27 points, 1 three-pointer, 12-14 FT’s, 12 rebounds, 1 steal, 1 block. He was great on the offensive boards again last night. The Packers struggled to block Nhial out. Mike did the majority of his damage around the basket and at the FT-line but he did drill a 3-ball from the right-wing. WF put smaller players on Nhial all night, so the Mustangs kept Mike inside and they played bully-ball. There were an insane amount of fouls and Nhial cashed in at the charity stripe. He was getting face-guarded and fronted all night. Mike answered by being physical himself and persevering through the Packer contact. Nhial showed tough turn-around baskets and athletic finishes. At the end of the game, Mike was taking the ball out when WF was pressing. [player_tooltip player_id="1306390" first="Caleb" last="Duerr"] ran out of bounds parallel from Nhial and he passed Duerr the ball. Nhial sprinted down the court and Duerr hit him with a bomb pass, Nhial finished the play and iced the game with an athletic right-handed WHAM.

[player_tooltip player_id="1133064" first="Kaleb" last="Larson"] |6-3 SG| Sheyenne

30 points, 2 three-pointers, 12-13 FT’s, 11 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 block. This was the best and most physical that I have seen Larson play. Larson showed off his deep deep shooting range with a 3-pointer from the NDSU logo near the halfcourt, the crazy part is, Kaleb made it look effortless. Kaleb was posting and sealing in an impressive fashion. I liked his physical drives and contested finishes. He showed good feet when scoring and posting on the block. He never backed down and Kaleb imposed his will onto the WF players. He was also impressive at rebounding and hitting from the FT-line.

[player_tooltip player_id="1161460" first="Nick" last="Carlson"] (2022) |6-5 F| West Fargo

16 points, 2-3 FT’s, 2 three-pointers, 6 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals, 1 block. I loved his effort, energy, and passion last night. Carlson truly leaves it all on the court. His first basket of the game came off a BLOB. Nick had a physical AND-1 finish and his 3-point shot looked nice. On defense, Carlson was playing hard and he had an impressive blocked shot that ended up hitting off the bottom of the backboard. Nick also scored off a TO when the Packers were making a comeback.

[player_tooltip player_id="812219" first="Carson" last="Hegerle"] (2022) |6-3 G| West Fargo

20 points, 2.3 FT’s, 1 three-pointer, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal, 2 blocks. Both his blocked shots showed how impressive of an athlete Hegerle is. Carson hit his 3-pointer in the first half. He showed his hustle with a 1-handed tip-in. Carson had many athletic finishes. He also showed good footwork. Many times Carson grabbed a defensive rebound and led the break for a bucket before the Mustangs could stop him. Hegerle had an intriguing long hangtime finish that showed why he is a D1 athlete. I also liked his step-through finish. I am looking forward to seeing this star athlete again on Saturday.
