Christian Brothers wins the Championship

<p><strong>COOKEVILLE, TN- C</strong>hristian Brothers Purple Wave (28-0) finished their stellar season with a Division II-AA State Championship, defeating Knoxville Catholic, 79-72. I feel like I have more to go.  </p> <p><strong>Coach Wilkes:</strong> You don't. I wish you did.</p> <p><strong>On defending Xavier. He is very strong and athletic. Did he compare to other guys you faced this year?</strong></p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1019407" first="Daniel" last="Egbuniwe"]: </strong>To be honest, I know I am a mismatch.  If you put me on the perimeter, then I am too quick or put me down low, then I am too strong.<br /> <strong>On matchup:</strong> I am strong myself. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Rashaun:</strong> [On tone of Goodpasture as the game pulled away] We kind of saw that, when we go on runs they were starting to quit.  We just wanted to build on top of that. </p> <p><strong>Coach Wilkes: </strong>On Goodpasture. They are well-coached for one. He is probably one of the best coaches in the state.</p> <p>They are big, they are talented. They can shoot it.</p> <p><strong>TJ Thomas: </strong>We have been together since 6th grade.  Even when we are done with practice we are together.  It makes it special. </p> <p><strong>Coach Wilkes: I</strong> lost my sophomore year and senior year.  At White Station we lost both times. I was in the state championship game in 1998 and 1996.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1019407" first="Daniel" last="Egbuniwe"]: </strong>I mean. I came to FACS my freshman year. I had a good relationship with Coach Wilkes. He told us that we could win state if we bought in. </p>
