For one of the best teams in the state, it feels like [player_tooltip player_id="674439" first="Raphiel" last="Justice"] gets lost in the shuffle with all of the talent the Bulldogs have to offer within their loaded roster. Justice is a feisty point guard and an elite perimeter defender. He isn’t afraid of picking up opposing guards for the entire length of the floor and seemingly doesn’t get tired when doing so. He will get up the court in a hurry after corralling a loose ball and can finish inside against longer players due to his upper body strength. Justice has a clean shot as well, and capitalizes on open jumpers when they come to him.

[player_tooltip player_id="923116" first="Jamari" last="Jackson"], 5’11, Franklin, C/O 2023

[player_tooltip player_id="923116" first="Jamari" last="Jackson"] is easily one of the best scorers in the state. The junior’s breakout season has been a special one for him. Averaging nearly 20 points a game to go along with 6 assists, Jamari is a knockdown shooter who can play either guard position and still has room for growth. His silky smooth lefty shooting stroke throws defenders off if they aren’t prepared for it. He has a quick trigger on his release and is dangerous off the dribble and in catch-and-shoot situations.

Jerome Mathias has all the tools you’d want your lead guard to have. Putting together a rock-solid season for Sedro Wooley, Mathias boasts season numbers of 15.2 ppg, 4.7 apg, 4.5 rpg, adding 3.2 steals. Where it starts for Jerome is his ability to finish off plays on the fast break. As a playmaker, he sees the floor and has a knack for finding open teammates for easy shots at the rim and seems to make the right read more often than not when he’s flying down the court in transition. Mathias pushes the pace with the best of them and has the ability to step outside and nail long range buckets in the half-court, but his major strength is attacking the basket, using his high motor to get there.

I’ve said it early on in the season and I’ll say it again, Jeffery is one of the most slept on point guards in the Seattle area. He is a floor general and takes care of the ball, has lightning quick burst in the open court, and can score at every level. Within the offense, Jeffrey does a great job and picking apart the defense when he gets into the lane and loves getting his teammates involved. He is lethal in the mid range and excels at getting to the free throw line (where he is next to automatic). Last week’s 21-point, 6-assist, 4-steal outing against Edmonds Woodway is a baseline performance from him.

[player_tooltip player_id="929624" first="Elijah" last="Johnson"], 5’10, Shorecrest, C/O 2022

[player_tooltip player_id="929624" first="Elijah" last="Johnson"] is certainly flying under the radar for Shorecrest this season. He can score 20 points in his sleep and has had a few near 30-point games, as well as a 37-point outburst in an overtime win in December. Elijah has great size for a player of his stature and uses his strength well. He loves getting into transition and finishes well at the rack against defenders. An all around point guard, he uses his size to his advantage and has exceptional range from deep.
