The last full week of February is here, meaning conference and county title games are finally here. Teams are looking to take home the title with players on the verge of big games in the final. Here are the under the player to watch in title games this week.

[player_tooltip player_id="1036231" first="Sean" last="Hargrow"], 6’4 SG Doane Academy 2022

Hargrow has been the go-to guy for the Spartans all season long and should have a big final game in the Prep B final against Princeton Day. The 6’4 guard has a good handle, which he uses to get into the lane and create plays. Hargrow can draw contact on his way to the basket and has a nice release on his jumper. He knows how to get his teammates involved and plays with good instincts on the defensive end. Hargrow has been filling up the box score all year and is looking to continue that in the Prep B final.

[player_tooltip player_id="1013101" first="Chris" last="Ross"], 5’9 PG Wallkill Valley 2023

The Rangers will have a big home court advantage in the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex County Tournament final as it will be hosted at Wallkill Valley High School. Ross will be looking to have a big game as he excels at getting to the basket and finishing through contact. The 5’9 guard has a lighting quick first step and uses his handle to run the offense effectively. Ross is capable of knocking down open jumpers from distance and is a good on-ball defender. Wallkill Valley will be looking to avenge its two losses to Hackettstown in the H/W/S final with Ross leading the attack.

[player_tooltip player_id="1202187" first="Ben" last="Reichert"], 6’10 PF Pequannock 2022

Reichert has been a steady presence in the post for the Panthers all season and will look to continue it in the Morris County Tournament final. The 6’10 post runs the floor hard, setting himself up for easy baskets in transition. Reichert has a nice touch around the basket and shows a nice touch on his free throws. He is one of the top available shot-blockers in the class and is an underrated passer. Reichert is a shot-blocking post prospect who should have a big impact against Delbarton.

[player_tooltip player_id="1146237" first="JayQuan" last="Briggs"], 6’2 CG Paterson Kennedy 2022

The Passaic County Tournament final might have one of the most intriguing matchups as Briggs will face-off against Paterson Charter’s [player_tooltip player_id="901971" first="Asim" last="Jones"]. The 6’2 combo guard is at his best attacking the basket as he is a good finisher and does not mind drawing contact. Briggs is also capable of scoring in the mid-range and gets his teammates involved in the half court. He is a strong rebounder and makes plays on the defensive end. Briggs is a two-way guard prospect who is looking to help Paterson Kennedy retain its county tournament title.

[player_tooltip player_id="933718" first="Devon" last="Johnson"], SG Overbrook 2023

The Rams are looking to take home the Tri-County Conference Bracket A title and will need a big game from Johnson. The junior guard has a good release on his jumper and can knock down jumpers in bunches as he has five games this season with at least 5 made triples. Johnson is more than just a shooter as he can also finish around the basket and has an underrated handle. He is a solid rebounder and gets deflections on the defensive end. Johnson had 28 points the last time Overbrook played Clearview this season and is looking to replicate that performance in the Tri-County Conference championship game.
