Week 14 is underway and we have got a big slate of high school hoops going on this week in Indiana. Let us dive on in and take a look at some highlights of Tuesday’s night of hoops.

Staggs Goes Off

Last night saw a up-and-down Bedford North Lawrence Stars team crush Eastern Greene 42-28. When it was all said and done, the Stars only had one player score in double figures and that was 2023 lead guard [player_tooltip player_id="1273007" first="Colton" last="Staggs"] who had monster game of 25 pts which includes going 5-7 from behind the arc and shooting 9-13 overall. He also added 4 rbs as well. Staggs, along with backcourt partner Colten Leach, have been the go-to players for BNL all season long. I have seen Staggs multiple times and will continue to say that he is one of the more underrated guards in Southern Indiana and would be an excellent added to piece to any DIII school. Stars are now 11-10 on the season.

Blackhawk Beats Leo

This was arguably the biggest game of the night as this was a game between two teams that both made their respective state finals in 2A and 3A. Blackhawk Christian was able to beat Leo 65-55 behind 28 pts from [player_tooltip player_id="1042496" first="Gage" last="Sefton"]. This was mostly a one-sided contest and Blackhawk led by double-digits for most of contest before Leo went on a big run to cut to lead to single-digits. However, the Lions simply ran out of time. Going into Sectionals, both of these teams should be the favorites to come out of their group. Other notable performances were Lewis Jones with 13 pts, [player_tooltip player_id="1042499" first="Josh" last="Furst"] with 11 pts, [player_tooltip player_id="870232" first="Caedmon" last="Bontrager"] with 15 pts, and [player_tooltip player_id="1272450" first="Jackson" last="McGee"] with 15 pts as well.

Linton Continues To Make History

Last night saw Linton absolutely dominate South Vermillion 91-49 behind 31 pts from 2023 stud guard [player_tooltip player_id="868240" first="Joey" last="Hart"]. The story of the night, however, was that Linton was able to reach the 20 win mark for the 10th straight season in a row. No other team in Indiana high school history has ever been able to do that. The Linton Miners should be without question be the favorites to come out Sectional 47. Linton will finish the season at Evansville North on 2/25.
