As the season approaches March, the conference championships have started to roll in. Let’s take a look at some teams that have brought home a title.

BIG RAPIDS

Big Rapids capped off a great season with a Central State Activities Association Gold Division championship. It’s their second straight conference title. The Dunn twins, Mason Dunn and Dawson Dunn, have played excellent basketball and played a huge role in their success. [player_tooltip player_id="1128346" first="Demarcus" last="Lee"] did a nice job as a facilitator as well.

FENNVILLE

Fennville won a piece of the SAC Lakeshore Division Championship. Fennville featured a solid all around team with players like [player_tooltip player_id="986254" first="Ben" last="Peterson"] leading the way. Peterson is a top 70 2023 prospect in the state.

HAMTRAMCK

Hamtramck put together a special season, winning the Michigan Metro Athletic Conference for the second year in a row. They have a loaded roster with stars like D1 talent Robert Davis Jr. and one of the top perimeter defenders in the state in [player_tooltip player_id="986247" first="Amari" last="Allen"].

OLIVET

Olivet proved to be one of the toughest teams around, fighting their way to a Greater Lansing Activities Conference championship. It’s their first conference title since 2018. Olivet was led by players like Bo Lincoln who is a tough scorer and all around athlete, and [player_tooltip player_id="1352949" first="Brayden" last="Wine"] who is a tough and physical prospect with a high upside.

SCHOOLCRAFT

Schoolcraft brought home a share of the SAC Valley Division title. [player_tooltip player_id="863986" first="Tyler" last="DeGroote"] was key in their title run, using his positional strength and ability to score from multiple levels. [player_tooltip player_id="1194689" first="Asher" last="Puhalski"] put in work at events like Flight Hankamp Open Runs, and most obviously prepared himself for what has been an excellent senior season.

SUMMIT ACADEMY

Summit Academy has continued to get better as the season rolled along, and it led to them winning the Western Wayne Athletic Conference title. [player_tooltip player_id="1223489" first="Dontez" last="Scott"] used his elite handles and fast first step to lead the team while [player_tooltip player_id="1227052" first="Raevon" last="Thomas"] and his length manned the interior.

WATERVLIET

This talented team won a share of the SAC Lakeshore Division championship. Andrew Chisek, a senior guard, was outstanding the entire season providing experience and leadership. Kaiden Bierhalter showed a lot of upside as a sophomore wing.
