Sumter HS vs Carolina Forest HS

<p>The Sumter HS Gamecocks made a trip down to the Grand Strand and defeated the Carolina Forest HS Panthers 72-60. The Gamecocks ranked in the Top 5 in SCHSL Class 5A were clicking on all cylinders this evening. </p> <p><em><strong>Senior [player_tooltip player_id="837351" first="Nakeem" last="Isaac"] Takes Over </strong></em></p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="837351" first="Nakeem" last="Isaac"]</strong> really stepped up his game tonight with 26 points in the Gamecocks victory. Isaac can really create a mismatch on the floor with his size. Nakeem is a bit deceptive for his size and really has the ability to bully defenders on the way to the basket. He does a great job of rebounding the ball on both ends of the floor. Seth is played his whole career at Christian Academy of Myrtle Beach before coming over to the Panthers this season. DeBruhl a left-handed guard scored 28 points tonight while connecting on 7 three pointers from downtown. This group of Gamecocks have really clicked under Head Coach Bryan Brown this season. The Gamecocks currently (20-4) have a different player stepping up on a nightly basis. Juniors <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1295805" first="Khalil" last="Bledsoe"]</strong> and<strong> Zyeir Gamble</strong> scored 13 points and 8 points respectively this season. Bledsoe was able to score the ball from all 3 levels on the floor while knocking down some three pointers this evening. Nelson and teammate <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="930633" first="Jonah" last="Nesmith"]</strong> have been a nice tandem with Debruhl this season. Nesmith a rangy guard-wing was taking some of the ball-handling duties tonight from the backcourt. Nesmith seems to be the most effective out on the wing or stalking the baseline. </p>
