Bullis vs St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes: Five Takeaways

<p>I was at St. Stephen’s &amp; St. Agnes last night for their IAC semifinal matchup against Bullis. The Saints prevailed and won 67-58 and are now set to face Episcopal in the IAC championship game on Saturday. Here are five takeaways from the game last night.</p> <h3><b>[player_tooltip player_id="902006" first="Devin" last="Ceaser"] Shows Out</b></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Ceaser clearly showed last night the type of athlete he is after a dominating performance to help prevail St. Stephens &amp; St. Agnes to the IAC Championship . Ceaser ended last night’s game with 24 points with multiple assists and rebounds. His end to end speed once again caused fits for Bullis as he is one of the toughest guys to guard getting out in transition. </span></p> <h3><b>[player_tooltip player_id="1225255" first="Tyler" last="Boston"] Delivers Again</b></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Even in the loss, [player_tooltip player_id="1225255" first="Tyler" last="Boston"] was probably the most impressive prospect last night. It was fun watching him go up against [player_tooltip player_id="902006" first="Devin" last="Ceaser"] as Boston showed that he is one of the top prospects in the loaded local 2024 class. Boston is a true floor general that plays with a terrific pace. He was really impressive in setting up plays for his teammates and attacking the rim strong. I am very high on the sophomore guard.</span></p> <h3><b>Elliot Black Is A Handful </b></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Black controlled the low post last night for SSSA which was crucial for the Saints as his intensity and activity around the rim was a huge advantage for them. He was finishing through contact and out muscling a lot of different players on Bullis in traffic. He could play a huge role in the championship game on Saturday against Episcopal. </span></p> <h3><b>SSSA Depth</b></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Mike Jones has some good depth he can bring off the bench for SSSA and that showed last night against Bullis. 2023 [player_tooltip player_id="1165524" first="Connor" last="Dubsky"], 2023 [player_tooltip player_id="957028" first="Bryson" last="Wilson"] and 2023 Cole Cosby all provided a lift when their name was called.</span></p> <h3><b>SSSA vs Episcopal Saturday Night</b></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The stage is set for the IAC Championship on Saturday night at Episcopal. Episcopal beat SSSA twice this year in the regular season and SSSA won during their matchup at the Sleepy Thompson. Get your popcorn ready as Episcopal is the place to be on Saturday night at 5:00. </span></p>
