LA CROSSE -- Having already clinched the Mississippi Valley Conference title, La Crosse Central added to its impressive season with a 73-62 home victory over Onalaska on Friday...

Brock Herczeg - 2022 - G - Onalaska

Thought Herczeg made a lot of big plays on Friday. The senior guard had 13 points and was right in the thick of things just about each time Onalaska made a run. Herczeg didn’t miss a shot and also had a big steal/assist in transition that gave the Hilltoppers some late life.

One of the true unsung heroes in the state, Petrasky scored 26 points and grabbed seven rebounds in Friday’s win. Central has three top 50 recruits between the 2022 and 2023 classes, but if you forget about Petrasky, he can really hurt you. Petrasky is a multi-dimensional wing that can hurt you in different ways. The 6-foot-5 senior serves as a floor spacer, swingman, knockdown shooter, and offensive rebounding presence. His versatility and flexibility allows the River Hawks to play him in a variety of different lineups. Offensively, Petrasky isn’t married to one side of the floor or a certain role. Whether he’s scoring or not, Petrasky generally has his fingerprints on the game.

[player_tooltip player_id="1390114" first="T.J." last="Stuttley"] - 2025 - W - Onalaska

Stuttley is going to be an early top 10 prospect in Wisconsin’s freshman class. He’s giving the Hilltoppers north of 10 points per game this season and went for 21 points in Friday’s loss. Stuttley put Onalaska on his back in the second half, leading them back from a sizable deficit and briefly giving them the lead. Stuttley showed no fear in a big time environment against one of the state’s top teams, sizing up defenders and attacking the cup. Stuttley has some advanced handles and can really take a bump, play through contact en route to the rim. Like the mid-range face-up game he possesses as well. Stuttley certainly needs to be able to extend his range to the arc, but shows a good enough release that it will likely come with in-game reps.

Williams is quietly having a really nice junior season. This is the third game we’ve seen of his where Williams has lifted the River Hawks offensively. Williams chipped in with 12 points and had a couple of nice spurts that changed the complexion of the game. Williams was 4-of-7 from the field and also dished out three assists. A shifty lead guard with some added length, Williams won’t blow anybody away athletically, but certainly has another gear when he decides to get downhill and attack. Although lanky, Williams plays a lot stronger than he looks and is able to finish strong at the rim.
