<p>The new rankings for the 2022 class are here. I often say the 2022 class of players in Kansas is one of the most loaded classes of hoopers that have been around in this state since the site began coverage out here. The guard play from the senior class has been outstanding which is why we have a ton of new guards added to the rankings, here is our newly ranked guards inside of the top from 131 to 156.</p>

<p>#131 [player_tooltip player_id="1372662" first="Jaxon" last="Hurla"], 5’9 PG, St Marys: Another talented and gritty Hurla to come through St Mary’s, Jaxon has been terrific playing the point guard spot for the loaded Bears, leading them to a current #2 ranking in the KBCA for 2A. Hurla was instrumental in their win over 6A Topeka High and has been their leading assistman on the year. A terrific shooter as well with some extended range, and can score on straight line drives.</p>

<p>#139 [player_tooltip player_id="1372663" first="Owen" last="Eilert"], 6’1 G, Beloit: One of the senior leaders in the back court for a really talented young core in Beloit. Eilert is currently stuffing the stat sheet averaging 10.9 points, 3.9 assists, and 5.8 rebounds per game. Attacks the rim with some strength and balance, gets to the foul line, and can knock down some mid range jumpers. A physical guard with a steady presence for a good Beloit team.</p>

<p>#140 [player_tooltip player_id="1372919" first="Joel" last="Ford"], 6’ PG, Phillipsburg: A solid guard all around who has stepped up for them this season. A tough scorer who hits shots in big moments, has elevated his pay in big games. Multiple double digit scoring efforts along with being a really solid passer of the basketball. Each year in the program Ford has seen his production increase.</p>

<p>#147 [player_tooltip player_id="1372920" first="Cav" last="Carlgren"], 6’1 G, Concordia: One of the hardest playing guys around the state, Cav is a really physical basketball player and an efficiency monster on the offensive end. Was averaging 23 points and 12 rebounds per game through the start of winter break and has been keeping up his production since. A great wing and post defender on the defensive end, a magnet in terms of finding the ball to rebound, and is a big time leader on the floor. </p>

<p>#148 [player_tooltip player_id="1372921" first="La’zel" last="Evans"], 6’ PG, Wyandotte: A very shifty point guard who thrives in getting downhill and making plays at the rim. Handles pressure very well and if he gets by the first guy makes a ton of plays for himself and others when attacking the help. Averaging 16 points, 2 assists, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals per game. Has had to play a ton of minutes and has a lot of responsibility for a building Wyandotte program.</p>

<p>#155 [player_tooltip player_id="1372923" first="Paxton" last="Swanson"], 6’1 G, Parsons: A lethal shooter and leader of a Parsons team that is slowly getting better as the season progresses. Has burst on to the scene these last couple of games with 20+ point efforts and shooting it at a high clip. Has good size and length on the perimeter and is terrific at moving without the ball.</p>

<p>#156 [player_tooltip player_id="1372924" first="Rex" last="Robinette"], 5’10 G, Maranatha Academy: Has had a really successful high school career so far and his senior campaign has been more of the same. A big time shot maker and performs well in big spots. Scoring it at 17 points per game, dishing out 2.5 assists per game, and grabs an impressive 7 rebounds per game from the guard spot. A leader for his program and someone who has continually progressed throughout his time in Kansas High School Basketball. Has shot it pretty well knocking down 22 threes on the year.</p>
