<h5>The NCHSAA regular season is approaching its final week. Take a look at the 3A West favorites for this year’s state playoffs.</h5>

<h5>Central Cabarrus (24-0)</h5>
<p>Central Cabarrus High completed a perfect regular season with a victory over NW Cabarrus on Friday night. They should be a No. 1 seed when it’s all said and done in the 3A West bracket seeding. [player_tooltip player_id="1218085" first="Jaiden" last="Thompson"], [player_tooltip player_id="1154633" first="Chase" last="Daniel"] and [player_tooltip player_id="1158774" first="Carson" last="Daniel"] are a trio that gets after it on both ends, <strong>Gavin Bullock </strong>is a presence on the interior as well.</p>
<h5>Hickory (22-1)</h5>
<p>Hickory High has just one loss under their belt and rides a 17-game winning streak into conference tournament week. Freshman <strong>Jamien Little</strong> and junior <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1059742" first="Jayden" last="Maddox"]</strong> are a few names to keep an eye with this group as leaders on both ends of the floor. </p>
<h5>Crest (19-2)</h5>
<p>Crest High has won 15 games in a row and completed an unbeaten season in conference action as they look to shake things up in the 3A West. Unsigned senior <strong>Mari Adams</strong> leads the charge for this team in the backcourt while 2023 forward <strong>Tylik Briscoe</strong> has produced in the frontcourt. They’re a well-rounded group with seniors <strong>Ray Hall</strong> and <strong>Kevin Kollock</strong> in the rotation as well.</p>
<h5>Central Davidson (17-6)</h5>
<p>Central Davidson is riding a nine-game winning streak into conference tournament season. At 8-2 in the conference, they’re a favorite to earn a high seed in this year’s state playoff field. <strong>Dylan Tysinger </strong>(2022) and <strong>Luke Staten </strong>(2024) are a few of the prospects to keep an eye on for them.</p>
<h5>Ben L. Smith (18-5)</h5>
<p>Ben L. Smith High finds themselves at the top of the 3A West once again after going 11-2 in conference action. They’ll close things out against Eastern Guilford on Saturday afternoon before the conference tournament. <strong>Markquan Gilbert</strong> (2023) and <strong>Richard Goods</strong> (2024) are a couple of names to watch for this group.</p>
