Wayzata leads the Lake Conference right now with a 6-1 record but Hopkins is a game behind. Tonight we look into their Friday Night Match-Up!

PG. [player_tooltip player_id="1167554" first="Hayden" last="Tibbits"] (W) vs Jayden Moore (H). This is an interesting lead guard match-up. Tibbits has had a great year as a junior really taking on the role. Moore is the start 8th grader averaging nearly a dozen a game playing with Sappington or handling when Tyrell is out. Fun playmaker battle to watch.

Wing. [player_tooltip player_id="958661" first="Drew" last="Berkland"] (W) vs Max Wilson (H). Versatile pair of guards that will do a lot for their team. Both are skilled and both are strong. Berkland is a top defender and a key shooter scoring 11 a game for the Trojans. Wilson is scoring nine points a game as a third player that can handle and the fourth scoring option.

Wing 2. [player_tooltip player_id="1201757" first="Spencer" last="Hall"] (W) vs [player_tooltip player_id="962199" first="CJ" last="O'Hara"] (H). Hall and O'Hara are versatile juniors that will be asked to play multiple roles. O'Hara is the Hopkins go to scorer putting up 17 points a game using his physical ability at the rim but also the skill to create offense. CJ's size will likely mean Berkland (strength) or Harvey (height) may defend him as well.

Forward. [player_tooltip player_id="796955" first="Ryan" last="Harvey"] (W) vs [player_tooltip player_id="1268455" first="Josh" last="Hoffman"] (H). A couple role players with division three level talent (Hoffman just committed to Hamline). Ryan is scoring seven a game as a senior forward while Hoffman is a perimeter shooter for the Royals scoring five a contest.

Big. [player_tooltip player_id="850713" first="Carter" last="Bjerke"] (W) vs [player_tooltip player_id="850704" first="Elvis" last="Nnaji"] (H). The division one big men. Bjerke is headed to UST and Nnaji will eventually get there, we just don't know the route yet. Carter scores 18 a game, Elvis scores 15 a game, both have near double-double averages. Carter is the skilled face-up big with back to the basket skill too, Elvis is a physically dominant big that rebounds in bulk and finishes above the rim in highlight ways.

6th Man. [player_tooltip player_id="1220414" first="Myles" last="Barnette"] (W) vs [player_tooltip player_id="958658" first="Tyrell" last="Sappington"] (H). Barnette is a back-up guard that handles but also scores like three times a game. Barnette will handle and play off the ball. Tyrell does the same thing for Hopkins giving them a perimeter defender scoring 7.5 points a game.

Bench. [player_tooltip player_id="1287438" first="Jackson" last="McAndrew"] (W) vs [player_tooltip player_id="962247" first="Gavin" last="Pierce"] (H). These are young forwards that are starting to emerge. McAndrew is a top ten level sophomore in the state averaging seven points a game at about 6'7 while Pierce is a 6'5 junior forward who plays a role.

Bench. Eric Rottinghaus (W) vs Vincent Hillsheim (H). The eighth men are forwards. Eric a hard working 6'4 reserve that scores a couple times a game, rebounds, and defends will. Eric is a senior, Hillsheim is a 6'7 junior big.
