Class of 2025 Rankings: New Names
In this article:
The same is true for “new names” as what we said in our stock-risers piece yesterday. Essentially every Class of 2025 name is a “new name” at this point because we just started compiling a list of Indiana’s best freshmen in the fall. However, we have grown our overall database by about 50 names since hosting the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase several months ago. Here are some of the top names that we did not have in our original watch list.
Zion Bellamy Zion Bellamy 5'8" | PG Kokomo | 2025 State IN (Kokomo H.S.)
If there is a prospect with a strong case to be including in the Top 50 that currently is still on the “watch list,” it would probably be this 5’8″ Kokomo point guard. Bellamy has been excellent all season long averaging 8.1 points per game for the Wildkats. You will be hearing his name a lot in the years to come.
Brode Judge Brode Judge 6'5" | SG Lapel | 2025 State IN (Lapel H.S.)
Judge is a 6’4″ forward that has made an instant impact as the leading scorer for Lapel High School this season. He has an excellent inside-outside game as a consistent three-point shooter as long as a strong finisher around the basket. Can be a real matchup problem going forward for the Bulldogs.
Cade Kaiser Cade Kaiser 6'4" | SF Batesville | 2025 State IN (Batesville H.S.)
Batesville isn’t as strong as they have been in the past, but it still isn’t that common to see freshmen starting at the varsity level. Kaiser has come in and averaged over six points per game for the Bulldogs with excellent ability to attack the basket off of the dribble. He will be a nightmare to stop as he continues to develop his outside shot.
Kellen Pickett Kellen Pickett 6'9" | PF Blackhawk Christian | 2025 State #108 Nation IN (Blackhawk Christian)
I admittedly wasn’t aware of the 6’7″ Pickett until just a couple of weeks ago. I was watching Blackhawk play Homestead and all of the sudden this long, lanky kid checked into the game. He is very skilled for his size and will turn into a dominant force in the Fort Wayne area as he develops more strength. Very, very high-ceiling on this prospect.
Mark Zackery Mark Zackery 6'0" | PG Ben Davis | 2025 State #398 Nation IN (Ben Davis H.S.)
Zackery was a starting defensive back for the Ben Davis football team as a freshman and has already solidified himself as a Division I prospect on the gridiron. Now, he has taken his talents to the hardwood where he has proven to be a high-level prospect as well. I first saw him back in the summer playing with Team Teague and he stood out as a tenacious defender and all-around floor general. He will be one of the top point guards in the class.
