The season seems to absolutely be flying by. The State Tournament will be here before we know it. We had another good week of hoops across the state. Now it is time once again to take a look at the Power Rankings for Class B.

CLASS B POWER RANKINGS

#1 Four Winds/Minnewaukan (13-0)

The undisputed top team in Class B stayed perfect this past week. The Indians only had one game and it was a blowout. 4 Winds took down Lakota by a score of 91-44. They will be busy this week with four games coming up. On Monday, the Indians host Harvey/Wells County. On Tuesday, they hit the road for a game at Rugby. They will be on the road again on Thursday with a game at Dunseith. 4 Winds finishes the week with a home game on Saturday against Hatton/Northwood. The top players and main producers for 4 Winds are [player_tooltip player_id="1046356" first="Jayden" last="Yankton"], [player_tooltip player_id="1185116" first="Jacolby" last="Pearson"], [player_tooltip player_id="1144580" first="Deng" last="Deng"], and [player_tooltip player_id="1144581" first="Dalen" last="Leftbear"].

#2 Kindred (13-1)

The Vikings took care of business this past week with 2 victories. They beat down Hankinson by a score of 72-44. Next, they had a low-scoring 53-39 win over May-Port CG. Kindred has a busy week ahead of them with two Top Ten matchups. On Tuesday, the Vikings head to Central Cass for a monster Region 1 matchup. This game will have big implications in the seeding for Region 1. This will also be a rivalry game, so everyone will be playing for bragging rights. On Friday, Kindred will host a talented North Border team. By next week at this time, we will have a better idea if Kindred is a pretender or a contender. The top player for the Vikings and one of the best dunkers in ND is [player_tooltip player_id="812227" first="Paul" last="Olson"].

#3 Enderlin (11-4)

The Eagles had a very nice week with two quality wins. They took down Region 1 foe Oak Grove by a score of 89-61. [player_tooltip player_id="787658" first="Joe" last="Hurlburt"] led the Eagles with 37 points. In their next game, the Eagles went to and beat Dunseith 109-80. In that game, [player_tooltip player_id="787658" first="Joe" last="Hurlburt"] scored 33 points, [player_tooltip player_id="812220" first="Gus" last="Hurlburt"] put up 30, and [player_tooltip player_id="1050248" first="Carson" last="Bartholomay"] dropped 27 points. This coming week the Eagles have two Region 1 games. They play Richland and Wyndmere/Lidgerwood. I would suspect that the Eagles win both of those games.

#4 Ellendale (14-0)

The Cardinals are one of the few undefeated teams left in North Dakota. This past week they played only one game. The Cardinals beat Edgeley-Kulm-Montpelier by a score of 54-45. This coming week, Ellendale hosts Linton/HMB on Tuesday. On Saturday, the Cardinals host fellow Top Ten team Central Cass. This will be a fun game as the two teams play contrasting styles. Ellendale is led by big man [player_tooltip player_id="812224" first="Scott" last="Wagner"] who is one of the best centers in Class B hoops.

#5 Powers Lake (14-0)

The Ranchers are also undefeated and perfect on the season. This past week, Powers Lake beat Williston Trinity Christian 67-60 and North Shore-Plaza 59-44. [player_tooltip player_id="1050257" first="Tyson" last="Enget"] scored 30 and 32 points in those two games. This week, the Ranchers have two home games. On Monday, they host Tioga and on Tuesday they have Bowbells/Burke Central. [player_tooltip player_id="1050257" first="Tyson" last="Enget"] is the top player for the Ranchers and one of the top shooters throughout the state.

#6 Flasher (15-1)

The Bulldogs had one game this past week and they took down Washburn by a score of 74-44. This week the Bulldogs have a crucial game vs. Region 5 nemesis, Shiloh Christian. They meet up on Friday at Shiloh Christian. This will be a big one for the Bulldogs and if they win, Flasher will be the favorites in Region 5. [player_tooltip player_id="1133050" first="Jace" last="Friesz"] is the bell cow and workhorse for Flasher. He puts up huge numbers and Friesz will most likely be an All-State Player again this season.

#7 North Border (12-1)

The Eagles took care of business this past week with two easy wins. First, they beat Drayton-Valley-Edinburg 73-23 and next they beat Lakota 68-33. This week the Eagles will be busy with games at May-Port CG, home vs. Park River/Fordville-Lankin, and at Kindred on Friday. The Top Ten battle on Friday between the Vikings and Eagles should be an excellent matchup. Both squads have talent and size. The top two players for the North Border are [player_tooltip player_id="1050261" first="TJ" last="Cosley"] and [player_tooltip player_id="1126978" first="Ayden" last="Stainbrook"]. These two will have to play well on Friday if they want to pick up the road victory against the reigning State Champions.

#8 LaMoure/Litchville-Marion (10-2)

LLM was coming off the upset win over Enderlin the previous week and they won out this past week. The Loboes had blowout wins over Oakes, Barnes County North, and Linton-HMB. LLM has been on a terror and they have a cool 6-game win streak going at the moment. The Loboes play four games this coming week. On Monday they host Richland, on Tuesday they host Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier, on Thursday they host Medina-Pingree/Buchanan, and on Saturday they play Glenburn at the Jamestown Civic Center. [player_tooltip player_id="1124143" first="Corban" last="Potts"] is the top player and one of the best PG’s in the state.

#9 Central Cass (11-2)

The Squirrels played one game this past week and they took down Northern Cass 68-57. Central Cass has a difficult week ahead of them. They play Kindred and Ellendale, two Top Ten Teams. It will be a great test for the Squirrels and these type of games help get you ready for the playoffs. [player_tooltip player_id="1111886" first="Sam" last="Kobbervig"], [player_tooltip player_id="1144577" first="Carter" last="Vrchota"], and [player_tooltip player_id="1144578" first="Cole" last="Holzer"] are the top players for CC.

#10 Shiloh Christian (13-2)

The Skyhawks have been playing well as of late and they have a 10-game win streak going on. Shiloh is a talented team with excellent size. This past week the Skyhawks beat Central McLean 66-40 and Washburn 78-40. This week Shiloh hosts Des Lacs-Burlington and Flasher. The Flasher game is a big one and the Skyhawks will need to win to show that they still have supremacy in Region 5. [player_tooltip player_id="1046366" first="Carter" last="Englund"] and [player_tooltip player_id="1138746" first="Jay" last="Wanzek"] are the BIGs to look out for when you see the Skyhawks.
