The atmosphere for the conference championship was all of what we expected! A sold-out gym with standing room only and both teams competing as hard as they can for not only a championship but also bragging rights. The game was a battle, but Pine Forest would go on to get the win to sweep the regular season and tournament championship.

Pine Forest Senior Guard [player_tooltip player_id="848090" first="Tristin" last="Harkins"]: One of the top unsigned seniors in the area, his game has continued to improve each year and it has been impressive to see him step up and lead his squad this season. He has been known as an impressive outside shooter for some years now, but he has made great strides with his ability to finish around the basket and facilitate to teammates.

Terry Sanford Wing [player_tooltip player_id="787668" first="Davis" last="Molnar"]: Night in and night out you know exactly what you’re going to get from this young man. He scores the ball from inside and out at a nice level, rebounds at a high rate and doesn’t hesitate to get teammates involved.

Pine Forest Junior Wing [player_tooltip player_id="854901" first="Jordan" last="Jones"]: This was one of his best performances of the season, finishing with a game high of 21 Points on the evening. He used his: height, wingspan, versatility and athleticism to score the ball on offense while using those same traits to make a nice impact on the defensive end of the floor.

Terry Sanford Sophomore Guard Parks Helms: You have to love the intensity that he plays with, and the fact that he understands his role on the court. He knocked down some deep shots from three-point range and would finish with 12 Points on the night.

Pine Forest Sophomore Guard [player_tooltip player_id="1180895" first="Xayden" last="Watson"]: He does all the small things on the court that often get overlooked but the impact that he made on this game was clear. On the defensive side of the ball, he applied pressure and forced turnovers which allowed his team to get out into transition. Offensively he was on the attack constantly, scoring at a high percentage from multiple levels.

Terry Sanford Senior Guard Myles Eakins: In one of his best performances of the season, he finished with twelve points and came up with some timely buckets to help his team make a run. He has solid speed and quickness but the next step for him will be to learn how to use his speed while remaining under control.
