The Lyncs senior guard is as speedy as anyone in the NWC with his active hands and quick feet, making him effective on defense. Crew has truly mastered their 2-3 zone defense, easily being able to line up in multiple spots for his team. Bosman has a dependable shot from deep, being able to hit the corner 3’s frequently. In transition, he’s able to use his court vision and find his open teammates for the easy basket.
Dawson Kimball– 6’1″ weight N/A- Nooksack Valley HS
Kimball is a steady shooter from three point range. He uses his agility admirably to be an effective rim protector for Pioneers defense, always having his hands active in the paint. The senior uses his length to his advantage, rising above his opponents when shooting. His quick release makes him memorable and leaves him open from deep. In transition, Dawson finishes at the rim or is found in the corner to knock down the shot.
Lucas Rodio– 6’6″ weight N/A- Mount Vernon HS
Lucas has impeccable timing when going for rebounds, even showing off his athleticism when putting back a rebound with a slam dunk. Despite his size Lucas is an outstanding ball distributor, no matter if it’s on the fast break or in the post. With Mount Vernon’s offense being fairly spread out, Lucas is at his best in the pick and roll. His teammates always find him slipping behind the defense down low, where he finishes by dunking with ease.
Scott Baldwin– 6’0″ 165 lbs- Blaine HS
Scott is an incredibly underrated guard in the NWC and doesn’t get enough love for his ability to distribute the ball to his teammates. This Blaine senior is crafty with the ball and can shoot from deep, but one of his best attributes is his ability to overcome mistakes. His capability to effectively shoot the outside shot leaves his defenders on their toes, where he then uses his speed to drive past them to get to the rim. The Borderites’ guard always has active hands on defense; leading too many steals and fast breaks, where he can “share the sugar”, as head coach Brett Farrar would say.
Will Rankin– 6’2″ 155 lbs- Oak Harbor HS
Will holds down the middle of the zone defense that’s run by the Wildcats. The senior uses his high basketball IQ to his advantage, reading the offense by jumping in front of passes with ease. Rankin’s smooth lefty shot has been dialed in all season for him, knocking down most of the catch and shoot 3’s that come to him. His high IQ also translates to the offensive sides of things as well, finding his open teammates with accurate cross-court passes.
