Stewardson-Strasburg led wire to wire winning by a final of 54-43. We dive into the top prospects here in 5 Best: Stewardson-Strasburg vs Tuscola!
Austin Wittenberg (Stewardson-Strasburg – 2023)
It was a breakout game for this 6’2” junior shooting guard. Creative ball handler that got where he needed on the floor to his shot off. Clean looking jumper and finished with athleticism at the cup. Brings some flair as a distributor and was a willing defender. Could definitely see him as a nice small college prospect a year from now. Went for 20 points.
Samuel Vonderheide (Stewardson-Strasburg – 2022)
The 6’3” junior forward stepped up in a major way for his team in this game. Undersized post has a strong frame and good understanding of the game. Seals well on the interior and finishes dump off passes inside. Also did a nice job stretching the floor for several threes and a mid-range jumper. Rebounded well in his area. He had 18 points.
Jalen Quinn Jalen Quinn 6'3" | PG Tuscola | 2022 State #136 Nation IL (Tuscola – 2022)
The Loyola commit didn’t have his best game after last night where he went for 45 points as he only managed 11 points in this one. The zone defense really bothered him as he settled for deep threes and they just weren’t falling as he only hit one on the night. Did get to the foul line several times for the majority of his points. Early on he made a few excellent dishes that led to points including a wrap around pass on the baseline. Still huge fan of this top 10 prospect in the senior class.
Haven Hatfield (Tuscola – 2022)
Strong bodied senior forward is a good role player for Tuscola. Rebounds, finishes inside when opportunities present themselves, and is a capable shooter. Went for 11 points.
Jordan Quinn (Tuscola – 2024)
Quinn is the younger brother of Jalen. He scored 6 points in the loss on a reverse layup, mid-range jumper, and a floater. Projectable frame at 6’2” and is one to monitor down the line.
