When I consulted with my trusted sources, every last one of them had LaBaron as the #1 player in the 2024 class. If you have been around the basketball scene in the state, you know that this kid is a flat-out ‘balla.’ It goes without saying that he is a dominant force to be dealing with on the offensive end of the floor. He has a complete overall game and brings passion and intensity every time he steps out on the court. At the time of this article, he has led his team to the Final 4, and his team is the favorite to win it all. If you haven’t laid eyes on him, I encourage you to come out next week and watch him in action.
Coming in at #2:
Toney Coleman, Jr. (6’3/Combo Guard)
School: Eufaula HS

TJ is one of the most explosive players in the top 5. He is an athletic guard with good size that likes to fly around the court making plays. He has no fear of attacking the rim and looking to put you on a poster. He has good size as a combo guard and is a hardcover off the bounce and in iso situations. He is one that can catch on fire quickly and light it up.
Coming in at #3
Caleb White (5’11/Point Guard)
School: Pinson Valley
Instagram: Caleb.glizzzy
Twitter: calebglizzzy
Caleb is one of the most lethal scorers in the top 5. Listed as a PG, he can make it happen either with the ball in his hands running the show or at the off-guard spot. Either way, you get production when the ball is in his hands. Not too many in the state can get it done on the offensive end of the court in the manner that Caleb can. He is a three-level scorer with a lot of swag.

Ty is hands down the leader of the juggernaut Mountain Brook and is one of the top shooters from behind the arc in his class. He has good size at the guard spot and has improved his off the bounce game so much. His decision-making is also a notable improvement when it comes to his game. At the time of this article, Ty and his crew failed to advance to the Final 4, but make no mistake about it, Ty will be leading his team back to the Regionals next season.

Chase is one of the most versatile players in the top 5 and in his class. He can hurt a team in so many different ways. He can score from the perimeter over the top and off the bounce, or he can get it done on the low block with his size. He has good court vision and is a willing passer. He, along with everyone in this article, are players that you need to catch this spring and summer.
Over the next couple of years, there will be a lot of conversation and ink given to these guys, so put your seatbelt on and get ready for a wild ride as we cover these talented players.
