Due to some adjustment at the top of the rankings, Kobe Smith Kobe Smith 6'1" | CG Andover Central | 2023 State KS and BJ Redic BJ Redic 6'2" | SF Andover | 2023 State KS got a small bump – three spots apiece. Not that they don’t deserve it. Smith is scoring about 20 points a game for the fifth ranked team in 5A, Andover Central. And right across town, Redic is a jack-of-all-trades for sixth-ranked Andover.

Jackson Swartz Jackson Swartz 6'5" | SF Chaparral | 2023 State KS , 6-foot-5 forward, 2023, Chaparral –17 spots (60 to 45) (pictured):
This long junior has really exploded this year after popping up on our radar with Team Buddy Buckets last summer. He is so explosive and bouncy, he creates a lot at both ends. This season, Swartz is contributing 17.9 points, 7.1 rebounds 4.4 assists and 3.3 steals. That’s the kind of stat line that will get you a good bump in the rankings.
Parker Leeds Parker Leeds 6'1" | PG Emporia | 2023 State KS , 6-foot-1 guard, 2023, Emporia – 13 spots (63 to 54):
Leeds has taken his game to another level since Christmas break. He’s an athletic and crafty guard who has had numerous outings with 15 or more points since the break.
Tyson Ruud Tyson Ruud 6'5" | SF Basehor-Linwood | 2023 State KS , 6-foot-5 forward, 2023, Basehor-Linwood – 12 spots (72 to 64):
Basehor-Linwood is scrapping to stay among the top teams in 5A, and Rudd has had a lot to do with their 11-2 start. He was all-tournament at the Bobcat Invitational, at which Basehor blew out Junction City.
Jerrit Norris Jerrit Norris 6'4" | PF Troy | 2023 State KS , 6-foot-4 forward, 2023, Troy – 8 spots (58 to 55):
Averaging 17 and 10 is all in a day’s work for the Troy big man. On the defensive end, he’s a problem with 2.9 steals and 2.3 blocks per game.
Walt Gray Walt Gray 6'3" | PF Bishop Carroll | 2023 KS , 6-foot-3 forward, 2023, Carroll – 8 spots (59 to 56):
Gray gets rewarded for a really good summer with Team Buddy Buckets, and for showing he can be just as good at the 5A level as he was at Hutch Trinity. This season, he’s averaging 15.3 points for the Eagles.
Landon Boss Landon Boss 6'1" | SF Osage City | 2023 State KS , 6-foot-1 forward, 2023, Osage City – 5 spots (54 to 52):
There aren’t many players in the state who have been consistently as productive as Boss. He does it all, and scores at a 23.7 per game clip. His 8.5 rebounds and 3.9 assists demonstrate how versatile he is. He has his Indians in the 3A hunt at 14-1.
