We only have a month left in the 2022 regular season and most teams have played around 20 games at this point. With that big of a sample size, we can take a look at the results and start making some predictions for the 2022 Mr Basketball award. Here’s a break down of front runners and predictions of who could make the ceremony in March.

[player_tooltip player_id="801588" first="Justin" last="Becker"], Robertson County - At this point, this is a two horse race for the award (in my opinion). Becker has nearly 3,000 career points and over 1,200 career rebounds while playing at one of the smallest schools in the state. In his Senior season, he’s averaging 35 points and 13 rebounds per game with shooting splits of 59/39/75. The 6’6 forward has had an impressive career and a big Senior season.

[player_tooltip player_id="801586" first="Turner" last="Buttry"], Bowling Green - The other potential winner is the EKU bound guard from Bowling Green. Buttry is over 1,500 career points and has helped the Purples to a lot of wins in his career. This season, Turner has averaged 24 points per game and has solidified himself as one of the best shooters in the state over his career. This year, he’s averaging shooting splits of 53/48/89.
