Week 9 Top Forwards

2022 6-8 F [player_tooltip player_id="1011352" first="Aidan" last="Hadaway"] – LaFayette

Ohio is getting a future All-Conference player in [player_tooltip player_id="1011352" first="Aidan" last="Hadaway"]. The bouncy relentless effort combo-forward was unstoppable against LFO, dumping in 43 points, 18 rebounds and 5 blocks. The lefty scored at will in the paint, going 16-21 from within the arc. He attacked off the dribble and showcased patient footwork as he used his pivot to get angles to score. Hadaway’s touch from 12-feet and in make him tough to guard. He elevates over the defense to drop in soft floaters and short jumpers. Aidan is a nuisance on the offensive glass and his rim-to-rim energy beats opponents down the floor and sets him up for lobs and coast-to-coast finishes. Hadaway is the definition of a man amongst boys in Region 6-3A.

2022 6-4 F Camron Long – Manchester

Cam Long is a man-child. He’s a physical specimen with his thick burly frame. Long can move bodies when he wants to, but also has a little finesse to his game. He can hit the open three and can put the ball on the floor in spurts. What really stood out was his passing. Long fits in bullet passes in tight quarters and looks to facilitate when catching the ball inside. He tallied 8 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals and 1 block.

2023 6-4 F Zyjuan Gray – Manchester

There was nothing flashy about Zyjuan Gray’s game, nor did there need to be. He’s a strong combo-forward that battles on the offensive glass. He scored three tough buckets inside and added a putback and a mid-range jumper. Gray finished with 12 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal. He and Cam Long share some similar traits with their physicality and surprisingly good court vision.

2023 6-3 W [player_tooltip player_id="1131527" first="Dexter" last="Holloman"] – Chattahoochee County

With multiple starters out, Dex Holloman did everything he could to keep the game respectable before rolling his ankle and leaving at the 7:18 mark of the fourth quarter. Dex is a slender wing that loves getting downhill. He’s got a smooth attack, slithering through the defense and drawing fouls. Holloman uses a crossover to shake his man and get to the rim. He can snap off eurosteps to avoid charges. Holloman will need to work on his left hand on offense. Defensively, he holds great value with his length. He can defend both in the post and on the perimeter. He’s a good shot blocker. Keeping his hands up in the zone will help deter opponents from making tough passes.

2023 6-6 F [player_tooltip player_id="1359902" first="Albert" last="Wilson"] – North Cobb Christian

Darlington had no answer for ABW III. The inside-out forward had it all working on Friday night. He scored from all three levels, hitting mid-range pull-ups, powering his way to And-1s with his back to the basket and stepping outside to drill a pair of threes. Wilson’s size, strength and offensive versatility creates mismatches all over. He finished with 19 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals in a 68-65 win.

2022 6-4 W [player_tooltip player_id="1130590" first="Jack" last="Hewitt"] – North Cobb Christian

The lefty known for his slashing shot lights out from three, making a home in the corners. Hewitt nailed four of North Cobb Christian’s 11 threes as the ball whipped around the perimeter. Jack had 14 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists.
