There was a lot of high quality basketball throughout Michigan on Tuesday. We’ll name a Most Outstanding Player and Honorable Mentions from the day. Due to the amount of quality play and elite performances, there will be 2 parts to this article, giving us 2 sets of Honorable Mentions and 2 Most Outstanding Player’s.

HONORABLE MENTIONS

Kofi Barima (2022, F, Parchment)

Parchment pushed their record to 9-0 with a big win over Kalamazoo Christian. Barima led the charges by scoring 18 points and snagging 14 rebounds. The athletic finisher has a lot of upside.

[player_tooltip player_id="1349385" first="Jalend" last="Brock"] (2022, G/F, Bendle)

Brock was outstanding in his team’s victory over Clio. He finished the game with 20 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals. Brock is a high upside wing that small colleges will really want to keep an eye on.

[player_tooltip player_id="983494" first="Joe" last="Francis"] (2022, SG, Adrian)

I really believe that Francis is worthy of a look as a finalist for Mr. basketball this year. He has been a firestorm on offense all year and was once again in a tough 72-61 win against Battle Creek Lakeview. He finished the contest with 34 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists.

Keenan Hatto (2022, G, Allendale)

Allendale picked up a big win over Hamilton, notching a 61-55 victory. Hatto led the charges with a staggering offensive performance. He finished the game with 33 points, including 24 of the coming off 8 three pointers. Hatto and his shooting are turning heads toward Allendale.

[player_tooltip player_id="1300929" first="Dylan" last="Hofmann"] (2023, CG, Royal Oak)

Hofman led his team to a 59-40 win against Stoney Creek. He went off for a game high high 30 points, showing his upside as a go to scorer.

[player_tooltip player_id="787680" first="Jack" last="Karasinski"] (2022, SF, Grand Rapids Catholic Central)

Karasinski apparently didn’t have any rust to shake off after missing a few games with an injury. He finished with 20 points in a win over Wayland.

[player_tooltip player_id="1128349" first="Patrick" last="Kombo"] (2022, PG, Arbor Prep)

Kombo is an explosive guard off the dribble and he was just that in Arbor Prep’s 46-38 victory against Pinckney. He led his team with 22 points and also dropped off 4 assists.

[player_tooltip player_id="1211321" first="Devin" last="Lilly"] (2022, PG, Chippewa Valley)

Lilly led Chippewa Valley to a tough win against a game Roseville squad. He set the tone on both ends and came away with 21 points in the game. His ball handling and passing was outstanding last night.

[player_tooltip player_id="863997" first="Alden" last="Ritt"] (2022, F, Lake Orion)

Ritt led the way in his team’s 57-32 win over Avondale. He’s a matchup nightmare and he used it enroute to a 26 point game. Titt also pulled down 8 rebounds.

[player_tooltip player_id="1130945" first="Grant" last="Stockford"] (2023, SF, Clinton)

Stockford led the way for Clinton in a 62-53 victory over Morenci. The underrated and athletic star went off, scoring 27 points. He also grabbed 9 rebounds, had 4 swipes, and dished off 3 assists.

[player_tooltip player_id="1068146" first="Ian" last="Weller"] (2022, C, Jackson Northwest)

Northwest was very impressive in it’s 67-26 defeat of Hastings. Weller is turning heads as he continues to be a gamechanger in the paint. Last night, he finished with 22 points.

[player_tooltip player_id="1352949" first="Brayden" last="Wine"] (2023, PF, Olivet)

Wine was once again a physical presence in the lane. He helped his team earn a 59-54 win against Bronson by scoring 22 points and snagging 7 rebounds.

Jacob Zartman (2022, G/F, Otsego)

Zartman’s team lost by 2 in overtime to Byron Center, but I couldn’t leavea new name off the list. He led his team and went off with 27 points in the contest.

MOP

[player_tooltip player_id="986244" first="Tyler" last="Jamison"] (2023, G/F, Port Huron Northern)

Seriously, this is borderline crazy. Didn’t Jamison just break a scoring record? Well, he broke his own record by catching fire and torching the nets for 59 points. Jamison’s offensive outbreak led to a 75-62 Port Huron Northern victory against Cousino. But that’s not all. He also pulled down a staggering 20 rebounds.
