Leland Walker Leland Walker 5'11" | PG North Central | 2022 VA | 6’0” PG | Hargrave 2022
Walker set the tone early and continued to provide pressure on both ends of the floor for Hargrave in their win over Combine Post Grad, as the super shifty and dynamic guard made plays throughout the game. He created for himself and others off the bounce with ease, he was great creating space and making shots while also getting to the rim and finishing in traffic and he was good on the defensive end too. He finished with 15 points, 3 assists and 3 steals in the win.
Keon Thompson | 6’0” CG | Hargrave 2022
Thompson was electric for Hargrave in their first game of the tournament on their home court, as he came out with good energy from the get go and showed his athletic finishing with a steal and dunk to get things started and just kept building from there. He made shots from multiple levels, he provided great pressure in their press and he rebounded well for his position too. He finished with 12 points and 6 rebounds in their win.
Madison Durr | 6’5” WF | Hargrave 2022
The backcourt was on fire for Hargrave, and that includes Durr who plays the 3 for them but plays a lot like a guard with good size as well. He can handle the rock both in transition and in the half court to create shots, he rebounded at a high level and he shared the ball and made plays for others too. He finished with 12 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists in their win.
Justin Taylor | 6’3” WG | Hargrave 2022
The starting backcourt wasn’t the only ones who were cooking for the Tigers, as Taylor came off the bench as the sixth man and provided instant offense for them. He showed good athleticism with a couple of break away dunks off of steals, he shots the ball well from deep hitting a couple of threes and he brought it on both ends of the floor. He finished with 10 points, 2 assists and 2 steals off the bench.
Kent King | 6’5” WF | Fork Union 2022
King has been having a monster year for FUMA so far, and while they fell short in a matchup with Speights Academy he still had himself a very good game. The versatile 6’5” wing did a good job initiating the offense and getting to spots off the bounce, he made shots from multiple levels and he provided a spark on both ends of the floor. He finished with 17 points and 4 rebounds for FUMA.
Kris King | 6’5” WF | Fork Union 2022
Much like his twin, Kris King had himself a game as he brought it on both ends of the floor and was productive in a number of ways. He got to spots off the bounce and made shots from the midrange and around the rim, he used his length defensively and on the glass and he brought great energy in a number of different ways. He finished with 14 points and 4 rebounds in their loss.
