Prep Hoops had wall to wall coverage from eight holiday tournaments across the state. Check out what players left the biggest impressions in Holiday Tournament Standouts: 2022 Prospects Pt 2!

[player_tooltip player_id="1106926" first="Justin" last="Mullins"] (OPRF)

Mullins is headed to Denver and wow did they ever get one of the biggest steals of the 2022 class. He was amazing with his performance in their opener at Pontiac. Dropped 31 points on Warren making it look easy. His play in transition and off his defense was what he went to most often. Long strides allow him to cover ground so quickly as he had an array of poster dunks.

[player_tooltip player_id="925225" first="Ethan" last="Marlowe"] (St. Charles North)

Marlowe helped himself quite a bit with a strong outing at Pontiac. The skilled face up post was so good scoring around the hoop. Hook shots over either shoulder, spin moves, euro steps, short jumpers. He had it all working. Solid job rebounding in traffic and protected the rim at times defensively. Really nice D2 prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id="1106928" first="Max" last="Love"] (St. Charles North)

Love is a wing that is a sharpshooter from the perimeter. Spot up threat that brings some athleticism in the open floor and would be a great small college pick up.

[player_tooltip player_id="1218553" first="Martez" last="Rhodes"] (Danville)

Rhodes was physically imposing in their game against St. Charles North. Strong bodied small forward that loves to attack downhill and assert his will on the game. Gets on the offensive glass for second chance points.

[player_tooltip player_id="863631" first="NJ" last="Benson"] (Mt. Vernon)

Benson looked like a high-major star in the game we caught at Centralia against Confluence. The Missouri State commit was an unstoppable force as he went for 29 points, 21 rebounds, 5 blocks, and 3 dimes. Strong frame and such an explosive athlete in the paint. Quick second jump and threw down dunk after dunk. Can handle it a bit although at times he gets too fancy with it. Also shoots a good ball from the perimeter opening with a wing three. Elite rebounder and intimidating shot blocker.

[player_tooltip player_id="999562" first="Bryce" last="Moore"] (Carmel)

Moore got most of his points early in the paint against Cahokia. Euro step and made several trips to the line. It opened up for him in the second half hitting several clean looking threes and displayed quite the burst in the open floor on several finishes. Went for 26 points. Committed to Niagara.

[player_tooltip player_id="1105719" first="Asher" last="Jackson"] (Carmel)

Big and physical lefty shooting guard that when he is hot can really carry an offense with his shot making as he made several triples in a 22 point outing.

[player_tooltip player_id="925183" first="Braden" last="Huff"] (Glenbard West)

Huff was dominant in both the semis and finals dropping 25 points followed by 21 points. Such a versatile post that does it in a variety of ways. Scores from the mid-range with jumpers and drives. Splashes them in from three. Athletic finisher with reverse layups and maneuvering his body at the rim. Gets on the offensive glass for put backs. Plus passer as well. Gonzaga got a good one!

[player_tooltip player_id="863598" first="Bobby" last="Durkin"] (Glenbard West)

Durkin is a great get for Army. The small forward has plus size at 6’6” with deep and consistent range on his jumper. Makes threes in bunches. Has shown he is more than a sniper this year with Glenbard showcasing his passing and defense.

[player_tooltip player_id="996060" first="Caden" last="Pierce"] (Glenbard West)

Pierce didn’t post huge numbers as Tosh, but he was the glue that held everything together. Operates as a point forward on this squad with his vision in the half court getting others involved and starting the break off his defense. Princeton commit.

[player_tooltip player_id="1106936" first="Ryan" last="Renfro"] (Glenbard West)

Another Army commit here. Renfro is tough as nails and does all the dirty work inside for Glenbard West. Good passer in tight spaces from his center spot. Displayed touch around the hoop and rim runs. Plus rebounder.

[player_tooltip player_id="1210405" first="Michael" last="Osei-Bonsu"] (Bolingbrook)

Wide bodied five man is the most consistent presence for Bolingbrook. Undersized post that plays bully ball on the offensive end. Mauls on the boards for second chance points. Spin move for scores and finishes well through contact. Elite small college big man recruit.

[player_tooltip player_id="1048712" first="Tavari" last="Johnson"] (Lyons)

Johnson struggled in the championship game, but he led his team there with a fantastic 28 point performance against Bolingbrook in the Jack Tosh semis. Slick ball handler that wins off the bounce slicing up the defense. Floater game and mid-range pull up are so good. High level distributor that makes others better. Akron signee and top 10 prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id="1055140" first="Billy" last="Bach"] (Lyons)

Bach has small college star written all over him. Good size and can really shoot the rock from three. Showed some craftiness finishing in the paint on multiple reverse layups.

[player_tooltip player_id="925191" first="Andrew" last="Stokes"] (Montini)

Stokes has been an intriguing player to us for a while. Strong bodied wing that has a crisp mid-range pull up game that he hit with regularity in the consolation championship. Shows burst with the ball in his hands. He had 19 points against Naperville North.
