<p>The Great 8 Basketball Showcase was filled with so many standouts that one article was not enough. Here are even more standouts from the Great 8 Basketball Showcase.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1150278" first="Sutan" last="Fitzpatrick"], 5’9 PG Newark East Side 2023</strong></p> <p>Fitzpatrick was the engine for Newark East Side throughout the game for the Red Raiders as he played under control throughout the day. The 5’9 guard has a tight handle, which he used to get into the lane to create plays for his team. Fitzpatrick was also feeling it from distance as he knocked down several triples and has a nice release on his jumper. He is a strong rebounder and uses his athleticism to make plays on defense. Fitzpatrick is a two-way lead guard prospect who should continue to make plays for Newark East Side this season.</p> <p><strong>Parker Neuenhaus, 6’6 PF Saddle River Day 2023</strong></p> <p>Neuenhaus had a solid showing against Science Park as he made plays in different ways for the Rebels throughout the game. The 6’6 forward has a nice touch around the basket and has a nice spin move. Neuenhaus is also capable of playing on the perimeter as he has an underrated handle and is capable of knocking down open jumpers from behind the arc. He makes good decisions with the ball in his hands and is tough to box out at both ends. Neuenhaus is a skilled power forward prospect who should continue to have strong games for Saddle River Day.</p> <p><strong>Anthony Dunbar, 6’3 G/F Pioneer Academy 2022</strong></p> <p>Dunbar stood out throughout the day as he made several highlight reel plays against Patrick School National. The 6’3 wing jumps out of a gym as he threw down a pair of big-time dunks that got the crowd going. Dunbar used his athleticism to alter shots on the defensive end and skied for rebounds all game. He moved well off the ball and the ball did not stick in his hands. Dunbar is an athletic wing prospect who should continue to make highlight reel plays for Pioneer Academy as the season moves on.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1013072" first="Jalen" last="Pichardo"], 6’5 SF St. Thomas Aquinas 2023</strong></p> <p>Pichardo had a strong game against Morris Catholic as he made plays on both ends of the floor. The 6’5 forward has a nice touch around the basket and was able to make shots through contact. Pichardo has an underrated handle and is able to find open spots in the half court. He is a strong rebounder and moves his feet on the defensive end. Pichardo is a gritty forward prospect that works hard on both ends of the floor for St. Thomas Aquinas.</p> <p><strong>Waseem Ajiebe, 6’5 SF/PF Science Park 2022</strong></p> <p>Ajiebe had a solid showing against Saddle River Day as he was able to make an impact at both ends of the floor. The 6’5 forward used his length to swat shots on the interior and was tough to box out on both ends of the floor. Ajiebe was able to get position down low and finish around the basket. He showed the potential to become a capable perimeter shooter as he knocked down a couple jumpers from behind the arc.
