The Chet Mason Invitational brought 5 games of high level action to Brush High School on Sunday. In this article I'll be breaking down the top upperclassmen performers from the day of action.

[player_tooltip player_id="921743" first="Jared" last="Frey"], 6'4 SG ISA 2022: Frey is a player that's trying to regain the spark he had in the summer of 2020 when he added a couple mid major offers. If Frey continues this level of play, he'll jump start his recruitment again. Frey is an ELITE shooter who doesn't need much time or space to let it fly. Frey also showed some impressive passing flashes. We'll see what colleges come calling for Frey looking for a wing shooter.

[player_tooltip player_id="837938" first="Yann" last="Farrell"], 6'6 SF Keystone Academy 2022: Farrell was dominant in the second half of Keystone Academy's victory of TSF in the second game of the Fay. Farrell is a big time athlete who rose above defenders for a few impressive dunks and finishes around the basket. Despite holding a top 150 national ranking, Farrell is uncommitted so we'll see where he decides to play college basketball.

[player_tooltip player_id="921749" first="Michael" last="Bova"], 6'1 CG ST Edward 2022: In what was one of the uglier games I've watched all season, St Ed's did enough to break away from a pesky Garfield Heights squad and win by 18 points. Bova had flashes of being the clear dominant player on the court with times where he just seemed frustrated with the overall poor level of play on the court. I liked seeing Bova go into takeover mode for the Eagles. After seeing his highlights against Lutheran East just two nights prior, I had high expectations for Bova and he didn't let me down.

[player_tooltip player_id="809624" first="Elmore" last="James"], 6'4 SG Brush 2022: James took over when it mattered, scoring at least 10 points in the fourth quarter to seal another Brush victory, this time without center [player_tooltip player_id="809619" first="Antwone" last="Woolfolk"]. James is a Mr. Basketball candidate and proved once again why against Shaker Heights. James is a bull when attacking the basket as his strength allows him to bully smaller defenders. The future Ohio University Bobcat appears ready to play a role in the MAC.

[player_tooltip player_id="1076533" first="Marlon" last="Barnes"], 6'5 SF Brush 2023: Barnes played the best game I've seen of him this season by knocking down some DEEP 3-pointers and looking engaged on defense. Barnes also had a baseline drive that ended with a nasty dunk to spark some momentum. It'll be key for Barnes to continue this type of play if Brush wants to make a deep playoff run, he certainly has the talent to do so.
