Another one!

The Broward vs Dade Challenge will take place this Friday and Saturday at Chaminade-Madonna High School. The 20-team field will feature some of the best teams and players across South Florida. *Please contact me at my socials regarding any information.*

Take a look at some prospects to watch...

[player_tooltip player_id="1301718" first="Shon" last="Abaev"] - Miami Country Day

2025 lefty [player_tooltip player_id="1301718" first="Shon" last="Abaev"] is already a star in South Florida. The 6-foot-6 guard is averaging 18.7 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game while shooting 46 percent from floor. Abaev has a crafty handle and can stretch the floor with his length and athleticism to the outside. He also has defensive versatility given his frame. Abaev holds offers from St. John’s, SMU and Florida Gulf Coast. The Spartans also run out 6-foot-6 [player_tooltip player_id="709245" first="Jasai" last="Miles"]. The wing prospect is an excellent rebounder (8.5 rpg) with shooting extension out to the perimeter. Miles holds an offer from Samford and Florida Gulf Coast.

[player_tooltip player_id="829477" first="Kevin" last="Pazmino"] - Cypress Bay

2022 [player_tooltip player_id="829477" first="Kevin" last="Pazmino"] is a quality scorer for the Lightning. The 6-foot-4 shooting guard plays at a solid pace and can get you twenty on any night. Pazmino has length and athleticism to score from any point on the floor. Watch out for his mid-range game. He can get hot in a hurry from deep and put his opponent in a hole.

[player_tooltip player_id="829513" first="Nicholas" last="Mate"]/[player_tooltip player_id="814930" first="Jose" last="Amat"] III - Florida Christian

2022’s [player_tooltip player_id="829513" first="Nicholas" last="Mate"] and [player_tooltip player_id="814930" first="Jose" last="Amat"] III have combined for well over 100 3-pointers. Both players bring a ton of quickness onto the floor. Don’t be fooled by their ability to create at the rim. You also don’t want to get into a free-throw shooting contest with either of them. In particular, Mate is 51-of-60 from the line. Amat III recently scored his 1000th high school point.

[player_tooltip player_id="1310859" first="Mister" last="Dean"] - Miami Southridge

A big-time prospect out of Miami Southridge is [player_tooltip player_id="1310859" first="Mister" last="Dean"]. The 6-foot-5 guard/forward is averaging 21.9 points per game. While Dean can rack up points; his rebounding is equally as efficient. Overall, he can supply multiple looks and playmaking ability. Dean received an offer from Bryant back in December. This is a Southridge team that I believe is much better than its current 11-7 record. The Spartans have lost four games by a combined 22 points. 2023 [player_tooltip player_id="962427" first="Koree" last="Cotton"] is another watch here. The 6-foot-6 guard is averaging 19.6 points per game. Cotton has a nice blend of scoring ability in transition. He can create off a fast break and finish in traffic using his size.
