2022 Top Available Wings

<p>As we come down the stretch of the recruiting process from seniors it is go time for proving what you have on the floor!  These are the best of the best still on the board in <strong>2022 Top Available Wings</strong>!</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="863598" first="Bobby" last="Durkin"] (Glenbard West)</strong></p> <p>Current Ranking: #18</p> <p>Durkin literally just opened his recruitment back up on Sunday decommitting from Army.  He immediately became the top ranked unsigned senior in the state.  At 6’6" Durkin is a small forward with excellent size that is an elite shot maker.  One of the best spot up threats int he state.  As a senior he has shown more to his game as a passer on the move, rebounder, and made strides as a defender.  Mid-major and low-majors that want a top notch shooter jump in!</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="925222" first="Jeremiah" last="Jones"] (Marian Catholic)</strong></p> <p>Current Ranking: #22</p> <p>Jones is one of the more complete wings available in the Midwest that we have seen.  The Marian Catholic shooting guard is a three and D player.  Plus three point threat that knocks down spot up triples with the best of them.  Free and easy shooting stroke.  Has improved his handles showing some shake and is a decent passer off the bounce.  Among the best perimeter defenders in the class with his lateral quickness and length.  Low-major prospect.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="996059" first="Jeremiah" last="Talton"] (Quincy)</strong></p> <p>Current Ranking: #23</p> <p>Talton has been outstanding this season as a senior.  The well built small forward has broad shoulders and has added strength onto his frame.  Plus spot up shooter with a fluid stroke off the catch.  His confidence with the ball in his hands has elevated his game being able to put it on the deck for scores finishing well through contact.  What we have always liked about him is his competitive spirit on the defensive end contesting and taking charges.  Low-major player.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1210371" first="Tye" last="Banks"] (Springfield Lanphier)</strong></p> <p>Current Ranking: #37</p> <p>Banks is a big and strong two guard that does most of his damage in the lane using his strength to overpower weaker guards and finish in the paint.  Rebounds well.  Plays bully ball with the rock in his hands being able to overpower opponents.  D2s should consider him.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1048719" first="Cam" last="Lawin"] (Orr)</strong></p> <p>Current Ranking: #41</p> <p>Long and lanky small forward who has shined returning from injuries.  Plus shot maker that drained an array of them in the games we have seen Orr in the first half of the season.  Such a free and easy stroke from distance and can also pop it from mid-range pulling up.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1048716" first="Famious" last="French"] (Normal Community)</strong></p> <p>Current Ranking: #47</p> <p>French made the move over to Normal Community from Bloomington for his senior year.  First thing that jumps out is the size and athleticism on the perimeter.  Smooth athlete that can defend multiple positions, score off the bounce, and is a solid shooter from three. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="863595" first="Matthew" last="Volkening"] (Marengo)</strong></p> <p>Current Ranking: #48</p> <p>Volkening is a skilled scorer that makes turnaround jumpers in the mid-range and is a solid three point shooter off the catch.  Defensively he opened our eyes with the way he contested and blocked several shots.  Potential D2 prospect.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="863613" first="AJ" last="Redd"] (St. Ignatius)</strong></p> <p>Current Ranking: #53</p> <p>Redd is a slender two guard that is at his best stuffing the stat sheet.  Does a little bit of everything.  Slick ball handler that gets to the rim slithering through the defense for scores at the hole.  Decent passer and defender.</p>
